‘Twas the Night Before Christmas/Merry Christmas Everybody

“For unto you is born this day in the city of David a Saviour, which is Christ the Lord. And this shall be a sign unto you; Ye shall find the babe wrapped in swaddling clothes, lying in a manger. And suddenly there was with the angel a multitude of the heavenly host praising God, and saying, Glory to God in the highest, and on earth peace, good will toward men.” (Luke 2:11-14 KJV)
I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and in keeping with America’s Watchtower tradition I present you with two videos. The first is called “‘Twas the Night Before Christmas–a Soldier’s Poem” and the second is “Merry Christmas Everybody” by The Cure.

Here’s where the saying could’ve come from: You can’t handle the truth!
“That which was from the beginning, which we have heard, which we have seen with our eyes, which we have looked upon, and our hands have handled, of the Word of life;
Who can ‘handle’ God’s Truth!

Beautiful song, thanks for sharing it! Interesting take on “you can’t handle the truth!” The truth in this case is most people don’t even want to know what the truth is. I hope you have a wonderful Christmas.

The power went off Christmas Eve around 10pm to 2am – not bad – but the internet was down Christmas morning, came on after noonish, then the power went out again a bit after 6. Fortunately it wasn’t freezing cold so didn’t have to worry about the water pipes breaking 🙂 Power restored a bit after 4am. I checked online to see what NV Energy had to say about it – of course “nothing.” They tend to be the monopoly here, which means they do as little as possible and have as few workers as they can get away with (even closed down their shop in the nearby town, so now they have to com from Carson or Reno – over 3 hrs away travel time!).
That’s the ‘spirit of greed’ that goes on that is opposite of God’s Nature – and why the Savior was rejected back then and still is today. The “raw nature” of sinful mankind rejects the purity of Christ – as darkness doesn’t comprehend the light. The Light of the World calls out and those who are His, and in time they hear Him. Maybe take awhile to ‘wake them (or us) us up’ but awake we do to the new Life of God’s Grace uniting us with the Beloved! 🎉 Out of the old man and placed in the NEW – the Body of Christ = the Real Church!

That stinks you had to deal with power issues on Christmas Eve and Christmas Day! But I know the darkness could not comprehend the light. 😉
Our electric company doesn’t do maintenance on the trees to prevent power outages because it is cheaper for them to clean up the downed trees after there is a problem. They don’t care if that means we have no power for a couple of days.

One prob with the electric companies, like you stated, is there’s no competition to make them jump to! and they because they’re the monopoly they do a lesser-quality – since they’re not ‘being held accountable.’ Maybe with the Deep State being kicked out of America that’ll change.
The ‘info about the burnt pole’ I heard ‘was’ the problem I heard, from a neighbor who went out there to watch them fix it. He indicated they had to do a number of things to fix it, so I want to ask him “what” and ‘why the pole was burnt to begin with’, and was that the reason for both outages?
It did give me a ‘different perspective’ of the Light of the World coming into a dark world! I knew you’d connect w/ that 😊
