Former Obama White House lawyer indicted for lying about his ties to Ukraine

April 11, 2019

While the topic of the now-debunked alleged collusion between Russia and Donald Trump during the 2016 election has dominated the news for over two years the media has ignored a brewing scandal within the Democratic party and its possible shady ties to Ukraine.

In case you have not heard, and you probably have not if you only get your news from the mainstream media, Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee were conspiring with Ukraine to influence the 2016 election, and most recently we found out Joe Biden got a Ukrainian prosecutor fired because he was investigating Hunter Biden.

Of course the bigger story there is that after all the investigations into the allegations of collusion between Donald Trump and Russia we learned that not only was there no collusion there but that the collusion was actually on the other side and it involved Ukraine but no news outlets found this newsworthy at all and the Republicans were nowhere to be heard.

I have written in the past that I thought it was possible the Democrats would rue the day they came up with this false Russian narrative because it could come back to bite them in the end and it seems like that might be in the process of happening.

William Barr is opening up an investigation into the conduct of the FBI during the 2016 election for spying on Donald Trump and Devin Nunes is referring criminal charges against eight individuals to the Department of Justice over FISA abuses during the 2016 election and now we have an Obama White House lawyer being indicted for lying about his ties to Ukraine.

  Here is more:

Former Obama administration White House counsel Greg Craig has been indicted by the Department of Justice with making false statements and concealing material information about his activities on behalf of Ukraine. Lawyers for Craig had expected their client to be charged in a foreign lobbying investigation spun off from special counsel Robert Mueller’s Russia probe

Craig, 74, was indicted by a grand jury in the U.S. District Court for the District of Columbia for willfully falsifying and concealing material facts from the National Security Division’s Foreign Agents Registration Act (FARA) Unit and for making false and misleading statements to the FARA Unit, according to a release by the DOJ. The maximum penalties for the charged offenses are, respectively, five years’ imprisonment and a $250,000 fine, and five years’ imprisonment and a $10,000 fine.

Remember how giddy the left was when news broke that Robert Mueller spun off investigations during his probe because they figured it meant he had so much dirt on Donald Trump he could not handle it all by himself? I guess that was not the case after all…

As I wrote above it looks like the tide is starting to turn and I think the Democrats should start getting a little nervous, this could just be the beginning.

I’ll take it as well and hopefully this is just the beginning. It is fun watching the Dems freaking out over Barr’s spying comment. Now they are trying to say it was “surveillance” not “spying.” At least they are no longer denying anything happened.
