Inspector General report to show James Comey broke the law, William Barr refuses to prosecute
We have been patiently awaiting Inspector General Michael Horowitz’s report for several months and now it seems as if the release might be imminent. With the finishing touches reportedly being applied it is being reported that the Inspector General has found that James Comey broke the law in releasing classified information and has referred him for prosecution. It is also being reported that William Barr has decided not to prosecute the former FBI director. Here is more:
The Justice Department’s chief watchdog is preparing a damning report on James Comey’s conduct in his final days as FBI director that likely will conclude he leaked classified information and showed a lack of candor after his own agency began looking into his feud with President Trumpover the Russia probe.
Inspector General (IG) Michael Horowitz’s team referred Comey for possible prosecution under the classified information protection laws, but Department of Justice (DOJ) prosecutors working for Attorney General William Barr reportedly have decided to decline prosecution — a decision that’s likely to upset Comey’s conservative critics.
Prosecutors found the IG’s findings compelling but decided not to bring charges because they did not believe they had enough evidence of Comey’s intent to violate the law, according to multiple sources.
That sounds like James Comey’s defense of Hillary Clinton doesn’t it? It sounds like the difference between “grossly negligent” and “extremely careless” to me. He broke the law but he did not mean to so all is good. I have always been taught that ignorance of the law is no excuse but I guess that depends on who you are…

I have never trusted Barr for one nanosecond…. he lived in their world all of his working career… to think he would sell them out was a stretch way too far…

I had hopes things would be different under Barr but I guess I was wrong. Now there is speculation he is holding out for bigger charges against Comey but I think that is just wishful thinking.

Fool me once… as the saying goes.. Fitton from judicial watch was on Hannity last night and very upset. Why at the same time the IG referred it to the DOJ did they have to come out at once to say no prosecution?

That’s the question I have as well, why such a quick decision on this? It sure looks as if the decision was already made and they are just going through the motions at this point.

Here’s another perspective that you’ll enjoy.
Instead of convicting for the smaller things (which all are bad, for sure) they’re pulling in the whales that will guarantee a fuller and heavier prosecution. Letting the guilty ‘think’ they’re ‘safe’ for paying for all they’ve done will be (supposedly) short lived. 🙏

I’ve heard rumor that they were holding off for bigger charges in the future but at this point I would be shocked if anything ever happens.

I know what you mean though, we’ve been “conned” for so long it’s tough to believe any “good thing” will really happen – tired of “waiting for it”.
But if God’s involved it will come about ~ as you know ~ for with Him “all things are possible” but with man … ah … questionable.

Meanwhile in Illinois several alderman, a couple of Madigan aides, a teamsters boss ,and now President of the Senate Tom Cullerton have been indicted on federal charges of fraud and or embezzlement. Trumps justice department is going full bore on Madigan and one can only hope they roll on the whole corrupt Dem party.
