Donald Trump to declassify Spygate documents

January 15, 2021

We have been waiting for months for a report which was never to come. Of course I am talking about Durham’s Spygate investigation. Now, with just a few days left in his Presidency Donald Trump is finally going to do what he has been threatening to do for what seems like an eternity. He is going to declassify all the documents related to the Spygate scandal. Here is more:

With less than a week left in office, President Trump is declassifying a “massive trove” of FBI documents relating to Obamagate, including FBI documents “showing the Russia collusion story was leaked in the final weeks of the 2016 election in an effort to counteract Hillary Clinton’s email scandal,”

The documents could be released as early as Friday, and are said to include “FBI interviews and human source evaluation reports for two of the main informants in the Russia case, former MI6 agent Christopher Steele and academic Stefan Halper.”

According to government officials who spoke with Just The News, the internal FBI and DOJ documents pending release “detail significant flaws in the investigation and provide a detailed timeline of when the FBI first realized the Steele dossier was problematic.”

One bombshell revelation contained in the documents is an admission by Christopher Steele, who was hired by Clinton’s campaign law firm to dig up dirt on Trump. He leaked information from his controversial dossier to the media, such as the false Russian collusion narrative, in the final weeks of the 2016 presidential campaign to counter the Hillary Clinton email scandal, after former FBI Director James Comey had reopened the Clinton email investigation.

Now that it is too little, too late the soon to be ex-President is going to make good on this threat. Why bother at this point? It makes one wonder why he did not release it when it could have made a difference. What difference, at this point, does it matter…

It is a stumper… my guess would be “they” kept leading him on that it would impede the investigation AKA Durham…. turns out that Barr just moved one of the FBI that was pivotal in the whole thing to another position. To me that is the real “tell.”

That is a pretty good guess and you could be on to something there. Maybe they were leading him along about the Durham investigation and he bought into their lies. That would make sense and I think that is the only explanation that does.

The true test will come in the litigation to follow. Carter Page, J. D. McFarland, Papadapolous and others will now have direct access to the evidence necessary to prove prosecutorial misconduct and other civil rights abuses without having to go through “National Security” discovery mazes. If you ever had a chance to see some of the stuff classified under the general clause of ‘National Security’ it would destroy your faith in the integrity of our government. That being said, that shield is now gone, ideologically tainted judges like Sullivan and many others can no longer run interference for uniformed and badge-carrying criminals and all of the dirty laundry will be in the public sphere where we can all judge the judgement. Gone will be the shields carried by nefarious bureaucrats. They will have to fight in court, mano a mano without the executive privilege and sovereign immunity. Intentional misconduct is not a shield against individual lawsuits against rogue federales. In the past the real bar was getting to the evidence to prove intentional misconduct. With all of the texts, tweets, twits and twats under bright sunlight it will be impossible to cover up much less defend individual lawsuits filed against rogue actors. This may be the healthiest tonic delivered to federal law enforcement in decades. A bidirectional enema against rogue FBI, DCI and DoJ miscreants will serve as a warning to others who decide to misappropriate their federal powers for partisan purposes.

@Bunkerville: “they” kept leading him on” Leading Trump on? He’s the one who forced this investigation. Durham, knowing there just wasn’t anything new to uncover, probably poked around just to appease the president. In Trump’s mind there just has to be some damning evidence to be found out there.

Trump had Durham do the investigation, because Trump was seeking revenge, after being investigated by Robert Mueller for three years, and then being impeached by the House Democrats, over the allegations of Quid Pro Quo, involving Trump and the newly elected Ukrainian president.

I must say that after listening to Trumps 50 minute phone call, when he tried to strong arm the secretary of state from Georgia, along with his lawyer. Pressuring them to illegally find enough votes to overturn the presidential election results in Georgia, I am convinced that Trump was probably guilty of trying to withhold aid to the Ukraine, unless the Ukrainian president agreed to dig up some dirt on his political opponent, Joe Biden.

Like most criminals, Trump has a pattern for all to see how he operates, behind the scenes, away from the publics eye and the presses ears. He needs to stay off telephones when heis breaking the law.. People seem to forget, around this time Biden had been polling very well against Trump.

Trump and his campaign staff were worried, because Biden wasn’t Hillary. He wasn’t universally hated or seen as being dishonest by voters. Hillary was the wrong candidate at the wrong time, yet she still beat Trump by 3 million popular votes in 2016. I’ll say it once more. Biden wasn’t hated and untrustworthy like Hillary was.

Trump wants to be vindicated. He wants to be able to have one last press conference, so that he can gloat and say “see, I was right all along.” He wants to be proven right about his claims that the Obama administration targeted him and spied on him., even though top FBI officials have already stated many months ago that the Obama administration wasn’t targeting Trump personally, in some sinister plot to destroy Trumps 2016 presidential campaign run.

It was members of Trumps campaign staff whose who set off red flags with their meetings with key Russian officials. If Obama wanted to damage Trumps campaign, he could have brought the FBI investigation to the attention of the public, but unlike James Comey who announced his findings on Hillary’s email scandal, days before the elections. Again, people forget, Hillary was crushing Trump in every poll, she and her campaign staff were confident of a sure victory, as was the whole Democratic Party.

There is only two reasons why Trump is suddenly releasing the Spygate documents so late in the game, and after Durham failed to find anything. The first reason is that he wants to take back control of the news cycle. The right wing media will hype and spin this story, trying to make something out of a nothing burger.

Trump enablers like Jim Jordan, Matt Gaetz and other House Republicans will play their usual role, feigning outrage over what they saw in the documents. They will call for more investigations. They will talk loud and build the nothing burger up, as if it were the greatest and worst case of crime, corruption and abuse of power, ever committed by a US president and members of the FBI who were taking direct orders from Obama. Make sure to buy popcorn for this shit show.

The second reason, as to why Trump is suddenly releasing the Spydate documents is obvious. To deflect the media and the publics attention away from the insurrection and siege of the US Capital Building, and those whom helped incite and encourage it.

I find it so odd that folks on the progressive side of the line have no curiosity concerning clear misconduct on the part of federal prosecutors. The bogus Left/Right spectrum blinds once again. Let’s all focus on the truth and avoid the ad hominem focus. Let’s focus on finding truth one case at a time. Having career prosecutors investigate their fellow careerists lends me to believe a whitewash is underway. Leave the conspiracy theory to the experts like Alex Jones and Rachael Maddow.

I think that Trump is releasing this trove of information to eliminate any chance of him being accused of any malfeasance from before his election to the first phases of his administration. This will provide black and white proof that there was no collusion and that there was in fact a coup attempt against him and his administration by deep state operatives. This is for the record and it does not matter if it is ballyhooed by some or ignored by the others. It will exist as fact in the record.

So much of what has been reported or rumored during the last 4 years has been built upon a false narrative. Trump is merely letting the light of day shine on the cockroach left.

According to renowned linguist and cognitive scientist Noam Chomsky, there’s some truth in the conservative reference to Russiagate as a “hoax”, albeit not in the context they’d have the electorate believe.

In an interview posted July 20, 2017 by The Free Thought Project, Chomsky, who’s hardly a Trump supporter, described Russiagate as a contrived pseudo-scandal only serving to distract from real scandals taking place daily in Washington, D.C.

He cited the cabinet’s configuration as an example: “Every cabinet official was chosen to destroy anything of human significance in that part of the government. It’s so systematic that it can’t be unplanned. I doubt that Trump planned it … [since] his only ideology is ‘me’. But whoever is working on it is doing a pretty effective job, and the Democrats are cooperating … in a very striking way …
So maybe members of his transition team contacted the Russians. Is that a bad thing? [Then] recent ambassador to Russia, Jack Matlock, had a blog where he pointed out that, ‘It’s exactly what you should be doing. It’s the job of ambassadors and diplomats coming in. There are serious problems and tensions you want to talk over to see if there’s anything you can do about them. Instead of just building up force and violence.’ That’s what the democrats are focusing on, and meanwhile all these other things are going on and they’re not saying anything about them.”
