John Kerry says Biden is considering a carbon tax on imports
In an effort to save the world from global warming John Kerry, who has somehow managed to nudge Al Gore away from being the leading political-climatologist, has announced that the Biden administration will be looking at the possibility of charging a fee on imports from counties which are not considered to be climate conscious. Here is more:
U.S. special envoy for climate John Kerry says that Washington is looking into the possibility of introducing a fee on imports from countries that don’t tax heavy polluters, but cautioned that such a move could carry risks “downstream.”
Kerry said President Joe Biden had instructed U.S. officials to examine “play it out: what are the consequences, how do you do the pricing, what is the impact.”
“But he wants to make sure we’ve thoroughly vetted it and thought about it as a matter of policy, particularly because our friends are doing so,” Kerry said.
Okay, forgive me if I am wrong but isn’t charging a country a “fee” or perhaps more accurately, a tax, for imports otherwise known as a tariff? And again, forgive me if I am wrong but weren’t the Democrats opposed to Donald Trump when he proposed putting tariffs on China because it would end up hurting the American people? But now they are considering doing the same despite the “downstream” damage (hurting the American people) and you would have to imagine China would have to be considered one of the climate enemies. Frauds and hypocrites…
Meanwhile this country’s uncaring great unwashed will cheer these moves since direct deposit Monopoly money hides as well as cures all evils.

Their Lords and Masters in Beijing will never allow this. Biden and Kerry will join the NBA and most of corporate America and take to both knees in the presence of their overlords.
