US Special Counsel is investigating claims of retaliation against Veterans Affairs whistleblowers

June 5, 2014

As the Veterans Affairs scandal continues to grow the  U.S. Office of Special Counsel is investigating claims that whistleblowers are facing retaliation for coming forward.

  Here is more:

The U.S. Office of Special Counsel (OSC) is currently investigating allegations of whistleblower reprisal from 37 different Department of Veterans Affairs (VA) employees in 19 states, The Daily Caller has learned.

OSC is investigating allegations that VA retaliated against whistleblowers on cases involving “improper” health-care scheduling. VA is currently under fire after it was revealed that a secret waiting list kept at a Phoenix, Arizona VA medical facility led to preventable veteran deaths.

A VA employee in one of the cases alleged that he/she was slapped with a proposed seven-day suspension, a lowered performance evaluation and reassignment after reporting scheduling impropriety to the VA Inspector General

“Receiving candid information about harmful practices from employees will be critical to the VA’s efforts to identify problems and find solutions. However, employees will not come forward if they fear retaliation.”

In light of this scandal everyone’s first priority should be with our veterans, fixing the problems, and making sure they get the care they need in a timely fashion.

But it appears as if on the surface, if these allegations are shown to be true, that what the leaders of the VA are most interested in is protecting their own asses by intimidating potential whistleblowers into silence.

It is hard to keep up and that is exactly what Obama wants. I haven’t even covered the story of all the illegals streaming over the border because I haven’t had the time!

The whistleblower retaliation that the OSC should have investigated is the retaliation case that was brought to its attention several months ago but instead closed the case to cover up the billions of dollars of theft of veterans money, behind the scenes, within VA Procurement, where veterans healthcare money is laundered into the VA Supply Fund. The Supply Fund is the source of funds for VA’s lavish conferences, travels to exotic places, and for the most blatant crime of all, as the source of the multi-million dollar bonuses for VA executives, most of whom gamed the system to deny the veterans the healthcare that they needed. All these investigations that they are doing now are just smoke screen to hide the massive corruption within this bloated agency and if not exposed, only guarantees that the VA will remain a criminal organization.

These elementals hold all of life, as well as each one’s unique aspect of true self,

A leaking tank can mean that serious problems are up ahead.
I knew right away that the outside seal had to be broken to fix this problem, so I advised Karen that
we stop at the hardware store on the way home and buy
some plumbers tape and silicone sealant.
