Border Patrol Agent ordered to stop talking to the media

July 8, 2014

It has been reported in several different places that many of the illegal immigrants who have been streaming over the border since Barack Obama issued Executive Orders which granted de facto amnesty in some cases and implemented the DREAM Act in others that many of these illegal immigrants are carrying infectious diseases and extreme cases of head lice.

With the Obama regime sending these illegal immigrants to detention centers all across the nation to be processed and then released into the various communities you would think that the people who live in the affected areas deserve to know the risks associated with this policy. But the Obama regime does not see things the same way.

First we learned that Border Patrol Agents were being threatened with arrest if they talked about the infectious diseases some of these people are carrying, and now at least one Border Patrol whistleblower has been ordered to cease and desist from talking about this issue or he could face retaliation.

Border Patrol Agent, and union officer, Ron Zermeno, has been trying to warn the American people about the potential risks to the American people (he is also the man who broke the story that two Border Patrol Agents contracted scabies from illegal immigrants) and this is what he was told:

The U.S. Customs and Border Protection agency has served one of its agents with a letter saying “you must immediately cease and desist” from issuing statements and press releases to the media with information that is “Law Enforcement sensitive,” according to the document, obtained by National Review Online.

Kathleen Scudder, assistant chief patrol agent of the San Diego Sector, sent the letter to agent Ron Zermeno, health and safety director of National Border Patrol Council Local 1613, notifying him of an investigation into his conduct and to “remind” him that no agent should make statements or issue press releases “without proper authorization.”

Needless to say, he is not happy:

Zermeno confirmed the validity of the letter to NRO. He says he thinks the order is retaliation for his actions as a whistleblower, which have involved exposing the public-health risks associated with the illegal immigrants transported to the San Diego Sector. “As a union officer, I feel it’s my job to expose when management is putting people at risk,” he says. “They violated their oath as Border Patrol agents.”

  He continued:

“I’m willing to lose my job over this because I know I’m doing the right thing,” Zermeno says. “I’ve been in this agency for 20 years and this is the worst I’ve seen it. It’s similar to the VA.”

Barack Obama has an agenda and it seems that he puts a higher priority on pushing that agenda forward than he does with protecting the health and welfare of the Border Patrol Agents and the American people.

Same with the VA. The totalitarian regime retains control. Tyranny, that is what is going on.

Yup! More and more like Venezuela every day. God bless Zermemo for standing up to the tyranny
