Did a United Nations official admit the global warming agenda’s real goal was to destroy capitalism?

February 13, 2015

During a news conference last week a United Nations official, Christiana Figueres, made some interesting comments in relation to the global warming agenda.

Here is some of what she had to say:

“This is the first time in the history of mankind that we are setting ourselves the task of intentionally, within a defined period of time, to change the economic development model that has been reigning for at least 150 years, since the Industrial Revolution,”

“This is probably the most difficult task we have ever given ourselves, which is to intentionally transform the economic development model for the first time in human history.”

What “economic development model” which has been in place since the “industrial revolution” could she possibly be talking about?

Investors Business Daily has a theory and here it is:

The alarmists keep telling us their concern about global warming is all about man’s stewardship of the environment. But we know that’s not true. A United Nations official has now confirmed this.

At a news conference last week in Brussels, Christiana Figueres, executive secretary of U.N.’s Framework Convention on Climate Change, admitted that the goal of environmental activists is not to save the world from ecological calamity but to destroy capitalism.

The only economic model in the last 150 years that has ever worked at all is capitalism. The evidence is prima facie: From a feudal order that lasted a thousand years, produced zero growth and kept workdays long and lifespans short, the countries that have embraced free-market capitalism have enjoyed a system in which output has increased 70-fold, work days have been halved and lifespans doubled.

To be fair, Christiana Figueres never mentioned capitalism however when she talks about changing the “economic development model” of the last 150 years this certainly seems to be what she is alluding to.

She seems to have confirmed what many of us global warming realists have been saying the true goal of the agenda was all along. And if the goal is to destroy capitalism which nation do you suppose is in the cross-hairs?

Malo periculosam libertatem quam quietum servitium.

There is an old saying which goes something like this: a gaffe is when a politician accidentally tells the truth. And that seems to be the case here!

They are so arrogant now, they no longer feel the need to hide the truth.

Like you stated in your comment yesterday, ‘they already have the “new regulations in place” – meaning ‘they’re moving forward’ with their script. It would be interesting to have THAT open to the public! I’m sure it’s lengthy, boring and filled w/ perverse thinking.
Notice her words, “setting ourselves” “given ourselves”… They want the ‘feudal order’ back under their thumb – just use ‘human resources’ for what they can do and provide for their pleasures.

We know they are already monitoring the internet through Facebook and Google so it is not beyond the realm of possibility that they are also already trying to delete certain content…

This is going to happen and it is starting with our heat. After all Obama did tell us we couldn’t keep our heat at 72 degrees and we know this can already be controlled from afar!

I wish people like Ms. Figueres would give just a little thought as to why the billionaires support their idiotic policies. It certainly isn’t because they are planning on changing their life styles.

The economic model that worked, was running pretty much unchecked during the 40’s, 50’s and 60’s. That era saw the development and growth of the legendary American Middle Class. Lots of wealth for lots of people. That pretty much ended with the economic experiments of Nixon, Ford and Carter. Ford gets the least blame, but he still gets some.

With Obama and whatever you want to call his policies, the very rich have seen huge gains and a huge portion of the middle class has dropped into the high end of poverty, or lower. Upward mobility is dead. You can find articles discussing its demise.

Here’s a nice footnote for that. Small, independent, local banks have been getting taken over by the mega banks. Again with Obama’s policies, the rich and powerful have become even more rich and powerful.

African American owned banks are facing extinction. No kidding. Read and tell me your conclusion. Obama sells out everyone.

The Clinton, Bush Jr., Obama cabal finished what the other three started. The next clown in the WH, left or right will surely perform the coup de grace proving once and for all our one party system works.

How have you not heard the term “economic development” before? It has nothing to do with capitalism versus communism or socialism or whatever else you’re trying to claim. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Economic_development Economic development is about infrastructure, human capital, health, safety, literacy, industrial/regional competitiveness, etc. The Industrial Revolution is a prime example of a time when people dismissed the environment and even workers’ safety in order to push forward with development (and profits), and that model is not compatible with today’s global economy. Only long after the Industrial Revolution did people start considering the environmental/social/health costs of what they were doing.

The point is that society needs to be mindful of its conduct, and that profits-above-all-else is a dangerous motive.

Capitalism can be done safely, with accountability, and with excellent results. Nothing about respecting workers or respecting the environment is inherently anti-capitalist. In fact, many would argue quite the opposite. A strong capitalist economy needs healthy workers and a stable (flourishing) environment.
