Rep. John Murtha’s(D-PA) “Slow Bleed” Iraq War Plan

So, Rep. John Murtha(D-PA) now has a plan to end the war in Iraq, does the plan include a United States victory? Sadly, no. But that isn’t even the worst of the plan. Not only does his plan call for an eventual surrender, it will cost many more American lives.Martha’s plan has been dubbed the “slow bleed” strategy. Instead of quickly ending the war by defunding it,which is shameful enough, they will slowly try to eliminate the president’s ability to fight the war.

The plan will gradually make it harder for our troops to do their job.How is this considered supporting our troops? Making it harder for them? They are already in harms way, they don’t need their job to be made harder.

 The plan calls for not replacing troops who are supposed to be rotated out of Iraq. Trying to prevent units from deploying to Iraq by attaching riders onto bills. And slowly defunding different aspects of the war.These and other parts of the plan are aimed at slowly limiting the presidents options for fighting in Iraq. Until there are no options left.

This plan will be coupled with an add blitz intended to break the GOP’s will and finally side with the Democrats.

This is truly disgusting. Would it not be easier to defund the war, cut and run, and end it quickly? Of course it would be, but the Democrats know it will make them look weak and spineless.

Making the troops jobs harder will only get more of them killed. If they really supported the troops they would never back a plan that will surely get more of them killed. As a matter of fact, they would support the president, and America, and have enough resolve to see this long battle through to the end.

It is time to WAKE UP AMERICA and see these people for who they really are. The more troops that die, the more the public opinion turns against the war. Democrats see this as a positive, more votes for them. As a result of this they will win their ultimate endgame,a Democrat in the white house.

That is the only battle they care about winning, the battle for the presidency. That is more important to them than the additional lives lost by Murtha’s slow bleed.
