Why Is Global Warming A Moral Issue?

March 23, 2007

There is an interesting article here that asks why is global warming a moral issue? As the article points out, liberals have always said you can’t legislate morality, therefor if global warming is a moral issue, we can’t legislate it. Kind of ironic isn’t it.

I believe Al Gore turned this into a moral issue because there is no science on the issue. He had to change the argument because he was losing it. We keep hearing scientists have a consensus that man made global warming is real. As Rush Limbaugh points out, you can’t have consensus in science. You form a theory, perform tests to prove your theory, once proven you have science, not consensus.

The other change I see taking place in the argument is the slowly changing name. We are beginning to call global warming, climate change. This is so we can use our own bad behavior to explain the below average temperature days, and the blizzards. All extreme weather will be explained as climate change.

So as you can see this is an every evolving consensus aimed at drawing us all in. I guess it can’t be fact if it’s evolving.
