More on New Hampshire’s new nanny state
April 8, 2007
You can read about it here.
Hopefully New Hampshire voters will realize we don’t want to be Massachusetts North or Vermont East. Unfortunately once these things start it’s hard to reverse them.
Like I’ve said before, I hope New Hampshire voters are happy, live free or die, yeah right.

I don’t understand how civil unions can be seen as a nanny state issue. I can certainly understand opposition to them on moral grounds, but not on small government. Can you explain what you mean?

You’re right, civil unions are not a nanny state issue. I was referring to the other issues in the article I linked to. Seatbelt use, and the smoking ban in particular.
I don’t smoke, and I wear my seatbelt, I just don’t like the government interfering with type of legislation.
Looking back at the article this morning I see I probably should have come up with a different title to my post as the article linked to is mostly about civil unions.
