Tom Delay calls for Rosie O’Donnell to be fired

April 14, 2007

Tom Delay is calling for Rosie to be fired. Now that the liberals have brought down Don Imus(another liberal), the conservatives want their turn. Rosie is on a major network and is spouting nonsense about the president knowing about 9/11 and the towers being brought down with controlled explosions. This is highly offensive to most Americans. Yet, she isn’t challenged on this. Why because she is a good liberal. If she were a conservative in the ’90’s and she talked about Bill Clinton authorising the killing of Americans in Wako or Ruby Ridge, she would not have lasted.

I don’t think she should be fired. I like to think the American people, and the market place would dictate to her employers that she be removed by not watching her show.

Part of me would revel in her firing though, I have to admit.

This is not going to come to a conclusion any time soon. Al Sharpton has said as much. He wants to keep going and bring down as many people as possible.

Rush Limbaugh,Sean Hannity, Glenn Beck will all be in the crosshairs. They had to sacrifice one of their own in Imus to get to the true targets, and here they come.

Now, Rush,Hannity, and Beck don’t use racial slurs and stereotypes in their dialog the way Imus does, but if Sharpton and Jackson, and liberals are offended by conservative talk then conservative talk radio should be shut down. At least that’s what they think.

There is talk that the fairness in radio doctrine will be reinstated. This is a direct attack on free speech, dictating the type of programming radio stations will carry.

It appears that the firing of Don Imus has triggered a chain reaction and who knows where it will lead with the Rev. Sharpton, and the Rev. Jackson leading the way.

Digg!

In the end it was the sponsors who decided that Imus would be canned. The same criteria should apply here, but the sponsors are afraid of Rosie. Maybe she’d sit on them. I know that was cruel.

I don’t think they can take the good guys off the air just yet. You see, Rush, Sean, Glenn, and all the rest are way, way, way, way, way too popular. It’d be mass rioting.

I believe you both are right. As long as they get the sponsors and the ratings they can’t be touched.
    At least, I hope so.

When a person can “be fired” for expressing their views one can hardly call that freedom.
Perhaps those who have the courage of their convictions should be thanked for having the courage to demand , by their honesty, that we as a Nation live up to what we have stated in our Bill of Rights and Constitution?! Who knows, the day may come when the average person can go to his/her job and feel free to speak and act as an ADULT: instead of a PUPPET!
