Jimmy Carter backs off his George W Bush is the Worst Comment

Former President Jimmy Carter said Monday his remarks were “careless or misinterpreted” when he said the Bush administration has been the “worst in history” for its impact around the world.
Speaking on NBC’s “Today,” Carter appeared to retreat from a statement he made to the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette for a Saturday story in which he said: “I think as far as the adverse impact on the nation around the world, this administration has been the worst in history.”
So he was either careless or misinterpreted, he can’t decide which it is. He can’t decide whether he was wrong or whether the media misinterpreted him.

The curse for Southerners like Mr. Carter is the perception that people will think one rude — even when speaking the truth. George Bush is the worst US President in history. Worse than Grant. Worse than Harding. Even worse than Ronnie. Carter wished he hadn’t said anything bad about curious George because Carter is a gentleman. But whether he meant it as it was printed or it was a press enhancement — it was and is correct. I believe the national and international physical, economic, and psychological destruction meeted out by this Crawford, Texas idiot could be fixed by impeaching Bush, putting Cheney in jail, and freezing the bank accounts of most of the Republicans in Congress. But that’s just one plan.
