Senate Democrat’s Poll Numbers are in a Freefall

June 5, 2007

This is from a Washington Post/ABC poll:

A new Washington Post-ABC News poll shows only 39 percent of Americans approve of the job Congress is doing — down from 44 percent in April. Approval of congressional Democrats dropped 10 points over that same period, from 54 percent to 44 percent, the Washington Post reported.

Has one item of their agenda made it to the presidents desk? I don’t think so. This is turning out to be the real do nothing congress we heard about before the election.

They passed a bunch of feel good legislation in the much celebrated first 100 hours, yet none of it has become law.

Lots and lots of talk and complaining, but we could have predicted this. These people are not people of action. They are more concerned with talking big and pointing fingers at people accusing them of being responsible for everything that went wrong before they come into power…

What’s worse is that their concerns lie much more in frivolous investigations into non-issues (US attorney firings, Scooter Libby, global warming et al) than in actually getting work done.

Of course, you don’t want to accuse them of that, because they for some reason think that they’re single-handedly saving this country from the evil Republicans…
