The Newest Enemy of the Left
Before we get in to the newest enemy of the left, let’s look at some of the previous enemies of the left.
First let’s start with the bill of rights, the malignant attacks on our constitution:
The left has gone after free speech: Political correctness is nothing but an attack on free speech. You mustn’t say anything that can be construed as offensive to anybody. It doesn’t matter if it’s true if it’s offensive. Stores won’t even say Merry Christmas to you when you enter or leave them.
The left has gone after freedom of religion: The constitution says in part, Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion, or prohibiting the free exercise thereof. The second part of that is the part under attack by the left. Congress shall NOT PROHIBIT the free exercise of religion. We are being denied exercise of religion when crosses and manger scenes are not allowed in public.
The left has gone after the right to bear arms: gun control, enough said.
The left is going to go after the freedom of the press: The fairness in radio doctrine. This is the left going after conservative talk radio, which I guess is also another attack on the freedom of speech.
Now a list of other enemies of the left, more benign than the attacks on the constitution, but enemies nonetheless:
First and foremost George W Bush
Walmart
Smokers
Mandatory seatbelts
Big Oil
Trans Fats
Record Companies ( Tipper Gore and the PMRC)
Meat Eaters
Unborn Babies
And on and on it goes. And so now without further adieu here is the latest enemy of the left…..
That’s correct, Tucan Sam. A liberal organization has decided to sue Kellogg’s for marketing animals in their commercials. They claim it is an attempt by the serial manufacturer to market to children. God forbid that a company actually markets their product to the demographic they are trying to sell to. Kellogg’s has agreed to stop using Tucan Sam and other animals in their marketing campaigns, I find this disturbing. Rather than fighting these far left extremists, they cave in to the self righteous restrictions of the far left.
So with all these enemies the left is fighting, their must be some enemies the left won’t have time for if they are elected in 2008. Wonder who that will be?
That’s who.

I shouldn’t laugh, but I can’t help myself… There really is no end to the lunacy of these people. What’s funny is that for years people thought that liberalism was the side of politics with open minds while conservative were out there trying to control everything through censorship and whatnot… Funny how liberals have distorted the ideas of open minds so far that they now fight everything – almost as if they no longer know what’s right or wrong.

Lots of food for thought here! As a left-leaning moderate (fiscally conservative Christian who value change and progressive ideas), I believe life is gray — very gray.
Both the ultra-lefts and the ultra-rights are tunnel visioned lunatics. Absence of competition led to the collapsed of communism. When rugged independence rules, the golden rule prevails (yes, the one with the gold rules).
Why can’t we just accept the best of both worlds?
