Miracle Baby Born 15 Weeks Early Comes Home
Kimberly spent six months in the hospital but now she has come home. Kimberly was born 15 weeks premature and weighed 10 ounces.

She still has a long way to go, but she has already come far.
Her mother re-calls the days in the hospital:
Petra Mueller, 38, who remained at her daughter’s bedside in intensive care at the University Clinic in Goettingen, was allowed only to stroke her with her finger.
“It was the nicest thing when she would grip my finger in her tiny hands,” she recalled.
“She was like a little bear gripping a tree trunk, just hanging on for life as if she was saying ‘Don’t leave me, mummy’.”
Even at this early stage in her development she could feel her mother’s touch and could also respond to her. A simple calculation of a full term pregnancy at 40 weeks minus the weeks premature tell us that this baby was born at 25 weeks of prenancy.
The definition of late term abortion from wikipedia:
A late-term abortion often refers to an induced abortion procedure that occurs after the 20th week of gestation.
Three articles published in 1998 in the same issue of the Journal of the American Medical Association could not agree on the definition. Two of the JAMA articles chose the 20th week of gestation to be the point where an abortion procedure would be considered late-term.The third JAMA article chose the third trimester, or 27th week of gestation.
The point at which an abortion becomes late-term is often related to the “viability” (ability to survive outside the uterus) of the fetus. Sometimes late-term abortions are referred to as post-viability abortions. However, viability varies greatly between pregnancies. Nearly all pregnancies are viable after the 27th week, and almost no pregnancies are viable before the 20th week. Everything in between is a “grey area”.
There isn’t a clear consensus on when an abortion can be considered late term, but 20 weeks appears to be appropriate. Abortions have been performed up to 24 weeks gestation. So I ask you, does this procedure seem acceptable to you? Was this baby not a life until it was born? How can a civilized society permit this procedure to take place?
And just in case you are still unswayed, look at the three most popular procedures for performing a late term abortion from www.allaboutlifechallenges.org
There are three general procedures of late-term abortions and partial birth abortions. The first and most popular is called D&E (Dilation and evacuation). Once the cervix is dilated, the fetus is removed by inserting forceps into the uterus. The Fetus is then separated into pieces. These “pieces” of your baby will be removed one at a time. Vacuum aspiration is then used to ensure no tissue remains in the uterus.
The second procedure is early induction of labor. This is very painful and intense for the woman and is rarely used as an abortion procedure.
The third procedure is called Intact D&X surgery. This procedure includes a 2-3 day process to gradually dilate the cervix using sticks of seaweed which absorb fluid and swell. Once this process is finished, the doctor uses forceps and grasps the baby’s leg to turn it to breech position. The baby is then pulled out of the birth canal, leaving the head inside the canal. An incision is then made at the base of the baby’s skull and the brain tissue is removed, causing the skull to collapse. The entire baby is then removed.

she is a miracle! n i am proud of her! congratulations!
