Hillary Clinton Flip Flops on Iran, Obama Attacks

October 15, 2007

hillary_clinton.jpg Remember this statement from Hillary after one of the debates in which Obama said he would meet with Iran without any preconditions?

“I thought that was irresponsible and frankly naive,” Clinton was quoted in an interview with the Quad-City Times that was posted on the Iowa newspaper’s Web site on Tuesday.

Well that was then and this is now:

“I would engage in negotiations with Iran, with no conditions, because we don’t really understand how Iran works. We think we do, from the outside, but I think that is misleading,” she said at an apple orchard.

FLIP FLOP. Naturally Obama is now questioning her change of viewpoint over to his side on this issue.

“Barack Obama will restore our place in the world by basing foreign policy decisions on consistent principles and not political calculation. That’s a change we need and change we can believe in,” said Leslie Miller, Obama’s New Hampshire spokeswoman.

Mrs. Clinton’s spokesman issued a statement trying to clarify her position.

Clinton campaign spokesman Howard Wolfson later sought to clarify her comments, saying that while she believes in diplomatic engagement with Iran, “she does not agree with Senator Obama … that the United States president should precommit to meeting directly with Mr. Ahmadinejad.”

So I guess she now believes we should talk with Iran, just not with Ahmadinejad. What? Do you notice how often a spokesman has to clarify what Hillary really means? She has so many sides on every issue that she can’t even remember where she stands on anything.

Read the whole Fox News article here. Yes, it comes from Fox News, liberals beware.

I see talking to someone as a sign of strength. It doesn’t cost anything to sit down and talk to someone. Especially when these people are established heads of state. Remember when Nixon went to China. Now if someone was to talk to a terrorist who really didn’t represent the people that would be different. For example when Isreal refused to talk to Arafat for a long time. The logic there was that talking to Arafat would legitimize a claim that wasn’t legitamate. I personally would talk to anyone but that’s just me. Then again I’m not a head of state. I really don’t care for Hillary’s hypocrisy but unfortuanately she’s not the only one is she? Obama really dissapointed me when after the criticism of the statements when he said he would attack Pakistan. Apparently he needed to prove he was tough. I wish the candidates would say what they believed instead of what they think is most popular at the moment. They have all proven themselves to be a pack of liars and whores. Whores in the sense they have sold out to big businness and the lobyists. Some more than others perhaps. Look how Pelosi took impeachment off the table. The Democrats deliberately mislead the voters and then quickly backtracked. What we need is a third party candidate. More than that we need love.

Did you see the picture I used in my “Hillary Clinton Involved in More Illegal Wiretapping ” post? It seems even dogs can’t control themselves around Bill. 🙂
