John McCain has a Former Mexican Cabinet Member as an Adviser

January 31, 2008

Juan Hernandez, the man who served in Vicente Fox’s cabinet when the latter was president of Mexico, is now advising Sen. John McCain (R-Ariz.)

Doesn’t that make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside? Doesn’t this let you know where John McCain stands on illegal immigration? The problem is that most Republican voters know where John McCain stands on the issue of illegal immigration and are still voting for him. At least I think they do. Maybe they don’t. Most readers here are probably allot like I am, political junkies. Most readers here probably do know that McCain and Kennedy teamed up to forge the amnesty bill that president Bush had hoped to sign. But do most voters know this as well? I am not so sure. Republican voters and voters in general probably don’t spend their free time analyzing and paying attention to the daily political grind as many of us do, so maybe they are unaware of how much of a turncoat to Republicans McCain really is. It is actually disheartening to think that many voters go to the polls and vote based on name recognition and emotion rather than researching where the candidates stand on the issues and making a decision that way. I wonder how many people voting in this primary even realize how close we came to a national disaster with McCain’s amnesty bill? I wonder how many people even realize the fact that this bill will come up again if McCain is elected. I like to think they are informed, but if they were could they possibly vote for John Mcamnesty?

Now we learn that McCain has a former member of Vicente Fox’s cabinet on board as an adviser to help with Hispanic voters. This just proves that McCain has learned nothing from his failed amnesty bill last year. He has brought in a Mexican national to help with his campaign.

Here is what Juan Hernandez has to say about border policy:

“If we become a different kind of nation that doesn’t open its borders to immigrants, we will lose what makes this nation work,” Hernandez said. On another show, he said if Mexicans live and work in America they should “think Mexico first.”

That is the man advising John McCain on the borders. Does this sound like a man who now admits and realizes that Americans want a fence? It doesn’t to me.

Then right after Hernandez hired-on Mel Martinez, the Florida Senator who loudly claimed he was against amnesty before he was elected and then pulled a 180 for amnesty as soon as his feet touched his new office, endorsed Juan McCain.

Yeah, Juan McCain sure “gets-it” now. He “gets” that anything he has to say, pander or flip-on is ok if he can fool enough ignorant voters to get into office.

All three RINO Stooges now share the same depravity.
