Nobel Prize Winner says Obama will be Assassinated if Elected President

Nobel prize winner Dorris Lessing had the following to say about Barack Obama:
“would certainly not last long, a black man in the position of president. They would murder him,”
I can’t believe that in this day and age people still think that way. If this were the case Obama would not have gotten this far in the election process. This woman is a joke. In a way she was using this to give a back-handed endorsement to Hillary Clinton:
Hillary is a very sharp lady. It might be calmer if she were to win, and not Obama,” she said.
Now that is what I call the politics of fear. She is basically telling Democrat voters to not waste their vote on Obama because he will just be killed anyway, so vote for Hillary. It will be safer. Have you ever heard anything as ludicrous as that? If she wanted to endorse Hillary, fine. But to make a statement like that is inappropriate, and ill-advised. Do you think Hillary accepted this endorsement?
Again, I just can’t get past the fact that these liberals look at everything in such a negative light all the time. She looks at Barack Obama and immediately sees he is a black man running for president, she doesn’t see a man running for president. I’ve said this many times before, and I apologize for repeating myself, but I just can’t help it, this is a group of people who are supposed to be above race, yet they are the ones constantly reminding us that Obama is a black man.
Now I have to ask myself, who does she mean will assassinate Barack Obama just because he is black? We know it couldn’t be a Democrat, because they are color blind (except when they remind us Obama is black), and it couldn’t be a liberal. So can I reasonably jump to the conclusion that Lessing believes that if Obama is elected president some white, racist conservative will kill Barack Obama? I did jump to that conclusion, that is exactly what I believe she means.
I would also like to ask, would you put it past the Clinton’s to be the ones behind getting this idea out there? We all know how power hungry they are, they long to get back to the white house so they can pimp out the Lincoln bedroom again. (Can I say that, or will I be suspended?) I wouldn’t put it past them to try to use this as a means to gather votes. The Clinton’s injected race into this primary a long time ago, this just seems like the natural progression of the issue to me. After all, this isn’t the first time talk of a possible Barack Obama assassination has come up:
Francine Torge, a former John Edwards supporter, said this while introducing Mrs. Clinton: “Some people compare one of the other candidates to John F. Kennedy. But he was assassinated.
She was introducing Hillary Clinton when she made that comment. I don’t find it unthinkable that the Clinton’s are behind this.
And lastly, where is the outrage? Does nobody else find this offensive? Why haven’t I heard the condemnation of this woman? Let’s just fast forward for a moment here. Let’s just pretend that John McCain and Barack Obama have become their party’s respective nominees. Now let’s pretend that in endorsing John McCain someone, it doesn’t even matter who, said that John McCain was a safer choice for president because Obama will probably be assassinated. What would the media say then? I think we know. The media would be calling for this person’s head on a silver platter. Yet now the story is ignored.
I can’t even begin to explain how offensive I find this woman’s remark. Not just because I believe she was talking about how a conservative Republican would just naturally have to kill Barack Obama if he was president, but because she would believe that any American period would murder Barack Obama.
America is the land of opportunity, the greatest country on earth, and is pisses me off that a person such as this just naturally has to see the worst in a country that offers so much to so many.

Solis Doyle, is dispensable, she has served her purpose to help us win the latino vote in the big states. We no longer need her or the latino vote to capture the white house. The women and black vote will now carry the Hillary campaign the rest of the way. Democratic Sen. Hillary Rodham Clinton replaced campaign manager Patti Solis Doyle with longtime aide Maggie Williams on Sunday. Ms. Clinton believes Maggie Williams is a better choice to target the women vote. Clinton said in a statement. “I am lucky to have Maggie on board and I know she will lead our campaign with great skill towards the nomination.” This is a race to the white house, not a popularity contest. If the latino community feelings are hurt because Ms. Doyle services is no longer needed, I will address those issues after I am president.

Can’t you Americans show a little forbearance. Doris Lessing is 89 plus years old for Christ’s sake. I ‘d like to see how reasoned in argument and coherent in speech your precious Obama would be at that age.
What is truly terrifying is the extent to which all you Americans have taken this blind, unthinking and absolutely hysterical worship of Barack Hussein Obama . The last time an entire nation was convulsed with such crazed Fuhrer -worship was during the Third Reich .
All this certainly does raise the spectre of America ( and the rest of the world ) being on the verge of a Thousand Year Obama Reich.
( By the way, Doris Lessing has recently been awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature -something that your precious Obama is hardly likely to receive , even if he were to write for several lifetimes.)

There are many of us out here on the right who feel Obama isn’t qualified. But many of the right dislike Hillary so much that want him to knock her out of the race as soon as possible, then they will concern themselves more about Obama.

Obama isn’t qualified …that’s quite the understatement. He has hardly any administrative experience worth the name. ( Other than ‘pimping ‘ for the likes of Rezko ).
Were he to somehow be pitchforked into the Presidency , ( after having irreparably polarized the country in order to get elected ) it’s virtually certain that he’d go on to be an unmitigated disaster.
The real question then becomes : can America ,and the rest of the world, afford to pay such a terrible price for his ‘on-the-job’ training.
The effects of his inexperience are bound to be infinitely more catastrophic than if Microsoft were to recruit some greenhorn ,fresh from Harvard ,as its CEO.
The tragedy is. he is being propelled into office by millions of delirious young kids .Who haven’t a clue about the real world . And who ,in all probability ,haven’t done an honest day’s work in all their lives.
But have deluded themselves into believing that all it takes is some American Idol type magnetism and charisma.
If only they’d stuck to their dope ,drink and sex orgies , their Rock Concerts and their Raves . Instead of coming out en masse to sweep their Idol into office . We might never have had to stare such a prospect in the face.
A word about his much -vaunted ‘soaring’ rhetorical prowess . He’d be no match for any top-of-the-line Brit parliamentarian .They could quite effortlessly chew him up and spit him out in bubbles.

Oh, I seldom visit this site, but to the question on why Obama can both be a TERRORIST and a ?MAY” be good guy.
FIrst may means may, I just think he has been duped by true evil-doers who turn good guys into terrorists who may (oe not may be bad) and honetly believe that what they are doing is right and good for the world. A terrorists does define himself as a terrorists – but a liberator.
True evil-doers use other human beings as “Useful idiots,” or to be nicer as you don’t get it, people down on their luck and other subject to other human vulnerablities and are used by “EVIL – DOERS” to do their dirty work for them. It looks likely that Obama will be president. I’m sure secret service will be very busy but I doubt he will get killed even with McCain/Palin race baiting the way they are. If they wanted to they would have done it already. As far as the black vote. Blacks are over 90 percent demorcrat so they were going to vote for the democrat no matter what color they were and yes they do vote not only when there is a black person running for office. The difference is when white people don’t vote for him because he’s black it’s because they have a fear of a black man being president or believe he shouldn’t run the country. When blacks vote for other blacks it’s more about identity rather than being afraid of white people. Many believe that Obama has been through what they been through and he maybe more incline to look out for them since the government tends to ignore them. He is far from desperate it’s McCain that is desperate that he is willing to try to suppress votes by trying to have eligble voters removed from the rolls. Felons are getting registered because the election commissions office made mistakes and some people get through. But keep in mind it isn’t all black people voting for him. Blacks only make up a small percentage of this country, a majority of the people voting for him are white. People want to be apart of history (regardless of if you are voting for McCain or Obama) so the voter turnout is expected to be high on several fronts.

Unfortunately, from reading these posts, I would have to assume that Obama will be fighting for his life for as long as it takes before the heat cools down or he gets shot.
It is sad to see bigot Christians and elderly beating the living thought out of Obama’s ideals and the people who follow him. Perhaps it is they who need to re-educate themselves. I can not believe a grown person would insist on insulting voters who are younger simply because they are so. As a doctoral student and assistant professor – highly educated in my field, I am insulted. I see it every day, the way people look at me and treat me simply because I am younger. I believe my comment here speaks for itself on my literacy.
So get back into your “Depends” if you must insult people for being different or younger. You may have lived through time, but have you really studied it, discussed it, to the point of understanding it?

I am not and will not be an Obama Supporter in anyway, shape, or manner. I simply just don’t like his arrogrant manner…NOT THE COLOR OF HIS SKIN.
But, I wouldn’t doubt…what she had to say about an assination or tempts on his life…one bit. Hopefully, this will not happen…
But, racism still lives in this country more than anyone could imagine. I have seen it so rampant and unjustified so many times in the past 10 years. I will give you just a few of the things I have witnessed personally within the past few years:
1) We were in a Campground in Pennsylvania when a white man at the swimming pool told a black man…don’t you come into this swimming pool and change the color of the water.
2) In Panama City, Florida: A young black male (14) died at the hands of 7 guards and a nurse the first day he was at a Boot Camp there. Of course they were all found innocent by an ALL WHITE JURY. But, you should have read the comments being posted on the TV Channels web site. One less Nigger..so one wrote.
3) Panama City Beach, Florida: My son had a Black teacher, Mrs. Williams, who was an excellent teacher in my opinion. But, quite a few parents had their kids removed from her classroom because of the color of her skin.
Like I said, I am not and will not be a supporter of Obama…I will use my voice and opinion to get my points across….but never will they be in any racial undertone…The man doesn’t deserve that.

Reading some of these comments can only make one think about how deluded this world has become. So much tension over the colour of a mans skin. Why shun him for something so meaningless? I guess that’s the problem with humans these days .. We’ve become a race so bent on stereotypes that the very sight or even thought of a black president, is enough to drive some twisted individuals to murder. Many other human made flaws are to come into play in years to come, and that’s a legit bet. I can only hint the pain that fills me, watching our world crumble to bits around us.
They say we should save the planet when, in reality the planet will be fine and make a healthy recovery in years after life…It’s we as a race that are in need of rescue. I completely agree, we say we’re marching forward with technology and knowledge, but we are tied by a rope, and that rope will eventually reach its length.
