Mayor Bloomberg Compares Global Warming to Terrorism
In this article New York City mayor, Michael Bloomberg, compared global warming to terrorism.
“Terrorists kill people. Weapons of mass destruction have the potential to kill an enormous amount of people,” Mr. Bloomberg told reporters after addressing the U.N. General Assembly, but “global warming in the long term has the potential to kill everybody.”
Actually, I interpret this comment as meaning that global warming is more dangerous than terrorism. After all terrorist have only been able to kill three thousand Americans in one day, global warming has the potential to wipe us all out. We are doomed. Talk about the politics of fear. Republicans have been accused of running on the politics of fear since 9/11, yet Democrats have not been held accountable for the same fear tactics.
For the sake of argument I will agree that some Republicans have run on fear tactics. But so have many Democrats. Democrats have for decades told seniors that Republicans were going to take away their social security. Democrats have told the poor for decades that Republicans were going to take away their kiss in the mail known as welfare. If this isn’t campaigning on fear tactics, I don’t know what is.
Now we have the latest fear tactic being exploited by the left, global warming. Bloomberg has said that global warming poses the risk of killing everybody in the world. A much greater risk than terrorism if this were true. However, he also admits that scientists might not know what the hell they are talking about.
No scientist knows for sure what’s going to happen, but you don’t want to wait to find out.”
Actually, I DO want to find out. Until global warming can be proved to be linked to human activity, if there even is global warming, people like Mayor Bloomberg can kiss my non-green ass.
This is the politics of fear at it finest, but at it’s core is not the goal of winning elections, although that is desirous, the goal is control over the people. When I talk control over the people I am talking about control through regulations. And by regulations it can naturally be deduced that fees, otherwise known as taxes, will be implemented. Through fear comes regulations, through regulation come taxes, and that is the bottom line of this whole asinine global warming debate.

It would be truly a wonder if the global warming fear politics would recognize real science.
Science has finally started to figure out a basic detail. The greatest source of global warming is the primary source for our warmth in the first place. The sun.
Polar ice caps are melting on Mars. Jupiter is getting hotter as are a number of other planets. I wonder if our space probes carried too much CO2 with them and rose the temperature of all of those planetary bodies when the probes passed by.
Either that or we’ll have to pass legislation to tax the sun or put it in jail. But when it melts the bars, would it be considered an escaped convict then?

I thought Mayor Bloomberg was going to potentially be a third party candidate in the presidential race. These comments are about as far to the left as I’ve heard from any of them, even McCain! I think the Mayor watched “6 degrees” one too many times on Nat Geo.

Gary, never let science get in the way of taxes. Don’t you see, we have done so much environmental damage that we are now ruining the entire universe? 🙂
Deb, 6 Degrees is on ON-Demand now, arent you going to watch it? 🙂 By the way, mayde he is setting up his moonbat credentials for that third party run he may take. This kind of talk can only help him with the far left.
