Who is Hillary Clinton Losing to?

February 20, 2008

hillaryrealbad.jpgAs Hillary Clinton lays awake at night, tossing and turning in her bed alone, she has to be asking herself “who am I losing to?” As she watches her birthright being taken away from her she must wonder “how is this happening to me?”

Hillary Clinton has been working for the little people and for the children and for the unfortunate for 35 years, she will be the first to tell you, and it doesn’t matter that she has accomplished nothing. What matters is that she believes she is entitled to be president. Everything that she and her husband, the first black president, have done has been done through the cool calculating eyes of a political prism. She was the anointed front-runner, the inevitable Democrat nominee and suddenly that has been taken away from her. Not only is she no longer inevitable, not only is she no longer the front-runner, but now her very birthright may be taken away from her. I find it ironic that the candidate who promised to take things away from us for the common good may now have something taken away from her and I would argue that that would be for the common good.

So as the Clinton political machine starts to wheeze and cough there has to be this question lingering in the backs of their minds. How can a machine that has been built up over thirty five years, a machine that has always been well oiled and always run so smooth possibly be brought down by someone with no experience? This has to be the question that keeps Hillary up at night.

Let’s be honest, nobody does know who Barack Obama is. Maybe that is why they like him. He promises hope and change but he never tell us what the change will be, he is nothing but campaign rhetoric. Nobody knows what Obama will do as president but they don’t care because he makes them feel good.

Hillary Clinton has spent her entire adult life in politics readying herself for this day and now she is being beaten by an empty suit, she has to be beside herself. She must be asking herself how this could happen.

Hillary Clinton is unlikable, she comes off as exactly what she is, a cool calculating politician with a lust for the presidency. Barack Obama comes off as an outsider whose life quest isn’t necessarily to become president. This could be what is behind Hillary’s seemingly inevitable demise.

Not only is Hillary wondering who this man is that is going to bring her down, but the American people should be wondering the same thing. Nobody knows what this man stands for because he says nothing except that he will bring change and hope.

The truth also is that Barack Obama is not qualified to be president, Hillary might not be either, but at least she has spent thirty five years in politics while accomplishing nothing other than covering up her husband’s indiscretions with women. Hillary must lose sleep at night wondering how the American people could vote for a man without qualifications over a woman who has been in the political system so long.

Hillary Clinton may be kept up at night wondering who this man is that more likely than not will be our next president, but she will not be alone. I will also be kept up at night wondering who this man is, and so should the rest of America.

Nobody knows what exactly this man stands for and that should be enough to keep us all awake at night.

I’ll take a empty suit holding a question mark over a continuation of the Bush-Clinton empire any day.

    Ready on Day One?
As a newly minted American citizen able to vote for the first time in a Presidential election, I have been observing the process with fascination. I am struck by the observable leadership of Senator Barack Obama vs the “followership” of the other candidates in both parties in this election. Today this country craves authentic leadership: Leadership that inspires a shared vision of a preferred future; leadership that challenges the way things are done; leadership that encourages the best in us; and a leader who models the behaviors he or she espouses.

Barack Obama has set the agenda for this election from Day One, articulating with a consistent and authentic voice a vision of hope, of inclusiveness and of healing while others follow his lead attempting to get in front of the parade he started. He set the tone and continues to challenge the way our traditional, divisive elections are conducted and he appeals to us as citizens not as interest groups. His behavior throughout the election process has modeled the positive, forward looking, and genuine outlook required of leaders. This is not “fairy tale” politics; rather it is evidence of the authentic leadership we can expect once he is in the White House.

It has been said that past behavior is the best predictor of future behavior. From day one in this election, we have seen Obama exhibit the leadership qualities America hungers for in this turbulent time. As others talk about how their experience and how prepared they are, Obama has demonstrated to us he can set the agenda, and tone of the campaign which others have been forced to follow. Rather than waiting until his first day in office, he has already begun to lead us as a country toward his vision, encouraging us to hope and inspiring a vision we can all share. He has challenged us to break out of the mold of status quo campaigns and he is the embodiment of the leadership behaviors of which he speaks.

He has demonstrated to us he is already leading not waiting to lead once elected.

I’m endlessly impressed with the American people seeing through the abrasive self serving ambition of Clinton versus the firm but gracious strength of Obama. An amazing contrast of political styles, as we watch Hillary squirm and squeeze into many different roles, Barrack is constant. Hillary’s false sense of entitlement never allowed her to see this coming. Obama was and is prepared well before day one.

Barack Obama is not a empty suit. This is getting tiresome. If you want to know what he stands for then go to his website and look in issues. It’s listed there.
In his three years in the senate he has achieved far more than Hillary Clinton.

John McCain who today has been exposed as a hypocrite after serving in the ‘ethics’ committe while having a affair with his own staff. This after leaving his familly for 25 yo ‘Cindy’. Who’s money launched his career.

Why do you assume that because I am not voting for Hillary or Obama that I am voting for John McCain? I suppose that would be the obvious assumption, but if you look at the following post I wrote last night you will see that calling McCain a hypocrite for the article that will appear in the New York Times today ia a wasted respose on me:
New York Tomes Attacks John McCain, Now he Needs Our Help

Well, we certainly know what Michelle Obama stands for, she’s “down for the struggle”. I feel faint.

Obama – eloquent, charismatic and definitely a leader.

All that can easily be agreed with. What is disagreed with are his positions and where he wants to lead us too when you boil out the semantics and rhetoric.

As for this Clinton, Obama, McCain stuff, let us assume Obama takes the nod and it is him vs McCain. Now hopefully, this point is something the general populace can understand sometime in the next decade or two.

If choices are presented on any given topic, not supporting choice A can hardly be taken to mean automatic approval of choice B. There is almost always the choice of A, B, and C – None of the above.

I actually do think Sen. Obama is “qualified” to be president. Our constitution does not list any qualifications save age and citizenship (to my knowledge). As far as I’m concerned, someone who has been in Washington longer is a turn off.

Washington has become too much of a club far removed from the manipulated American people.

This is not a promotion for Obama, just my opinion that Clinton is not necessarily more experienced. She may be older but we all know that not everyone gets wiser with age.

As for “not knowing” Obama, I think people have the perception that because we havent had a list of 20 scandals attached to him, we don’t know him. Frankly, do we really know anyone in Washington? We know what their PR people want us to know unless we’ve met them personally. Otherwise, we have their public records and their websites.

This is amongst the worse articles I’ve read about Clinton and Obama. First of all, it’s already been established that Obama has written many more substantial bills in his career in senate than clinton has during her term. This is fact.

Further, 35-years of experience is a stretch.

Last, to somehow assume that we all like Obama because he makes us feel good is somehow empty rhetoric itself. That’s what the media wants us to believe.

Please do your homework. This isn’t journalism. And the reason I tell you to do your homework is because I have that much confidence in the facts that are presented.

So please, stop getting your news from the media and do a little digging.

35 years is the number Clinton uses, here is the quote from my post:

Hillary Clinton has been working for the little people and for the children and for the unfortunate for 35 years, she will be the first to tell you, and it doesn’t matter that she has accomplished nothing.

That is sarcasm, I even wrote that she is the one that is telling us about her 35 years experience.
You also mention that Obama has accomplished more in his term than Hillary. As you can see by the above quote, I wrote that she hasn’t accomplished anything in 35 years. So we sort of agree on that issue.
Not journalism you write. This is the second time I will be saying this in the last couple of weeks to someone who commented here. I agree, this is not journalism. I am not a journalist. I don’t take myself serious enough, nor am I full of myself enough to claim to be a jounalist. I am just a man who works for a living who comes home and blogs his feelings on politics and politicians.
And by the way, yes liberals do vote with their heart and not with their head.

Hillary is a Sociopathic liar. All she has been willing to say about her repeated and demonstrably false claim to have landed in Bosnia in 1996 under sniper fire is that she “misspoke.” That is not an admission of lying, but meant for the sole purpose of self-aggrandizement. This is not a lie she told once. It was part of a prepared campaign speech she recounted over a three-month period. She even told the story after it had been documented as a fabrication in the press.

“I remember landing under sniper fire,” she said. “There was supposed to be some kind of a greeting ceremony at the airport, but instead we just ran with our heads down to get into the vehicles to get to our base.”

What this anecdote illustrates so clearly is how easily she lies – how effortlessly. She lies without giving it a second thought. She lies not only about her own experiences, but the experiences of others. She lies about public events that have been recorded on video. She lies when there is no reason to lie – if she thinks she can persuade one more voter she is experienced and brave. If a job applicant lies in his or her resume, then he or she is no longer considerations for the position. Sociopathic liars like Hillary Clinton – people who lie as a matter of course, for any reason or no reason at all – should have their resumes thrown into “the circular file.” Unrepentant liars like Hillary are not fit for the public office of dogcatcher, let alone commander in chief. Have you ever been shot at? Do you think you would remember vividly if you had been? Do you think it is possible to imagine that you were shot at during a well-documented public event when, in fact, no shots were fired? She indicted Bill Clinton as a coward with her assertion that he sent the first lady on foreign missions he considered too dangerous? How bizarre is it to make such a statement – and to make it repeatedly over a three-month period? It’s not unusual that politicians lie. But it is unusual for them to be caught in such brazen deception. I an many others are not willing to give Hillary a pass for telling such a Bald Face Lie. Hillary and Hillary alone destroyed her chances for the to become the Democratic nominee for the Presidency.
