Tsk, Tsk, Tsk, Governor Eliot Spitzer

March 10, 2008

As everybody has heard by now, New York Democrat governor and Hillary Clinton super delegate, Eliot Spitzer was implicated in a prostitution ring. To quote Hillary, “shame on you” Eliot Spitzer.

As a former New York attorney general Eliot Spitzer dedicated his life to bringing criminals to justice, but evidently he thought he was above the law. This is typical from the left. This hypocrisy of the left trying to tell other people how to live their lives while living theirs in a different manner is nothing new, as can be evidenced by Al Gore flying around the world in a private jet to tell us we need to car pool in order to save the world. We must sacrifice, not him.

This is the same mindset that Eliot Spitzer apparently adheres to. He made a living putting people like himself and the “workers” that they frequented in jail, yet he is no different than them. He is worse, actually because he pretends to be something he was not while he was sending people to jail.

Because he is a Democrat we will hear stories about how we must leave him alone for the good of his family. We will hear it is nobody’s business but his and his family. We will be told that he needs his privacy. We will be told that we must let him heal the demons that he must have hidden inside. It won’t be his fault.

This wasn’t true of Mark Foley or of Larry Craig, in their cases their resignations were called for immediately. We heard nothing about their privacy. In all likelihood Spitzer, client 9, will have to resign. But the standards that Democrats will hold him to will be much lower than the standards that they hold Republicans to.

 It always is.

“He is worse, actually because he pretends to be something he was not while he was sending people to jail’.

    Much worse in my book.

Eliot – sheriff of Wall Street. I just heard Congressman King call Eliot (client # 9) the most self-righteous person he had ever met.

Maybe I am jaded but this type of behavior from politicians no longer shocks me. What I find inexplicable is the wife is always there by the disgraced politician’s side. I would hold my own press conference announcing my intention to file for divorce. The call girl got $ 4300 for this tryst. If I was the wife I would be mad about that waste of money as well.

I think that just once, the wife should slap the husband in front of everyone, call him all the bleeps in the book and say call my lawyer. Why do they say “we’re sticking together as a family”? Who are they kidding? What, do they think E. Spitzer is the next slick Willie? No press is bad press?

After some digging we turned up some info on Elliot’s favorite go to gal. No wonder he strayed! I guess Hillary loses out.

This guy was angling for the prez job one day. Guess that’s not a career option anymore.

Foley & Craig stayed in the news because their scandals were also related to homosexuality, which is generally considered more newsworthy, especially when it is a GOP member. Also, Craig still hasn’t resigned, so if he’s still in the news, that’s his own fault. None of this is meant to forgive Spitzer. He is a hypocrite, but at least he had the common sense to quickly resign. Vitter, the Republican from Louisiana is STILL in office and he frequented prostitutes just like Spitzer. ALL of these supposedly “moral” men were nothing but hypocrites.
