Ted Turner Says Global Warming Will Turn Us Into Cannibals

April 2, 2008

global-warming.jpg Once again I have to start another global warming post by saying that I thought I had heard it all when it comes to global warming, but this takes the cake. Once again I have to say that the global warming alarmists are just getting more and more insane with every passing day. So you must be asking yourselves, “what can be more insane than any of the other things that mrpinkeyes has posted about before?” I don’t blame you for asking, after all I have written about how global warming is the reason behind the genocide in Darfur. I have written about how banning light-bulbs and water coolers and plastic bags will save the planet. I have written about how cow farts and earthworms are causing global warming. I have written about a group that blames Jews for global warming. I have written about Halloween destroying the environment as well as San Fransisco trying to bam fireplaces to save the planet. And the list goes on and on with the global warming alarmists.

Now we hear from Ted Turner that man will turn into cannibals because of the effects of global warming.

Interviewed Tuesday for Charlie Rose’s PBS show, CNN founder Ted Turner argued that inaction on global warming “will be catastrophic” and those who don’t die “will be cannibals.”

What else can I say? These people will say anything to get us to conform to their agenda. I’m not going to waste any more of my time on this story.

You think Ted is being alarmist, but he is just sounding the alarm. You didn’t hear it yet, sir. You will. Soon. have you ever heard of polar cities, as reported in the New York Times last weekend?

Go to DOT EARTH blog on the Times website and read the post titled

“Polar cities a Haven in a Warming World?”

or google POLAR CITIES as a term

and then blog about it. it’s not as outlandish an idea as you think, at least look at the GERBIL CITY images of what like in a Habitrail tube city might be in 2500 or so….

You have a severe problem when you begin to take ted turner’s rants as legitimate facts. There is no way what so ever that humans are killing the planet. For every one Global Warming worry wort who displays facts and quotes “experts”, there is one who can show facts, and have experts to back his/her stand on Global Warming.

I guess I’ll have to cut my meat intake then. I am not sure about the science of global warming, but I am going to try and play it safe here and see if I can cut my own emmission down. And no – I don’t mean eating less beans. I don’t want to be Condi who got the memo but thought nothing of it at the time. Just playing it safe. But my problem is that Global Warming just isn’t cool enough. No badge or hip gadget I can wear. Makes it difficult. http://angryafrican.net/2008/04/03/global-warming-is-just-not-cool/

This more of a case of politicians and lawyers acting like Chicken Little.

The Scientists calculated out the impact humans have on CO2 emissions which comes to 1 quarter of 1 percent of the CO2 emissions which with the rest of the “greenhouse” gases only account for 1-2% of our atmosphere.

A gnat has better odds of killing an elephant by kicking it in the toenail than we do of making any appreciable difference in the temperature of the earth. Much less making a difference by enacting taxes and regulations on just the USA when China and India out produce us by a long shot not to mention all of the other countries of the world.

Here I thought this blog was a political real world blog.

It is getting hijacked by the Sci-Fi channel enthusiasts.

Don’t worry Gary, I’ll get back on topic. 🙂 I do like to post about global warming once in a while. I do consider it a political topic though. That is why Al Gore is involved, every solution for the “problem” includes us giving money to the government.

yesm david and Mr Pink Eye, do blog on polar cities one day, pro or con, and yes, this IS about politics and political will, this is not sci fi, i am not a sci fi hijacker, I am like you a concerned citizen. used to live in Nashua NH, hiked the White Mts as a teen, summers at Cape Cod washing dishes in Woods Hole, this is about us, all of us, left right center, and read the New York Times blog here

Ted Turner was exaggeratin’ to make a point. To try to wake people up, people who are still sleepwalking toward the future. I dare you to blog on polar cities, Mr P. would love to read your POV, and I have no agenda, I do not belong to any group, I am not even in the USA, been in Asia since 1991.

New England formed my values. bOrn in springfield mass in an april snowstorm, NOT that I remember.

Al Gore is one of my heroes. Ted Turner too. So sue me! SMILE

no, look, let’s al get along and have a good discussion. that’s my New England philosphy even way over here in Taiwan on a hot spring day…

“Al Gore is one of my heroes. Ted Turner too. So sue me!”

The inventor of the Internet and all knowing omnipotent Al Gore is a hero. He wouldn’t know an AlGorithm if he saw it.

The request for me to blog about polar cities on my blog is denied. It is a waste of time to talk about fantasy. If I want to read about it, I’d pick up a Marvel Comic series that has the setting in the Savage Land.

If you want a painfully clear answer, I just posted it on my blog site regarding Global Warming. The two parter is titled “Legalistic Chicken Little” as when you look at the data, the hard scientific evidence, GW is a batch of political hot air.

Don’t worry Mr. P, feel free to keep blowing holes in the GW hot air bag. Just make certain that you use paper not plastic.

No harm in asking. That’s what America is all about. How quickly we forget. How quickly we deny the stranger.

But I understand, polar cities is just not your cup of tea, Gary. Wait 500 years, then your descendants will understand.

    There’s time still.

Is that Mr P’s answer, too, request denied? So there is no room here for differences of opinion. What ever happened to LIVE FREE OR DIE?

Ted does realize that “I am Legend” was just a movie, ditto The Day after Tomorrow. Meanwhile the global temparature (sp?) has not risen since 1998. How arrogant for people to believe they have more power than the sun! What are these guys having a whose crazier contest? tight race between Ted, Keith Olberman and Algore. And don’t forget Bela Pelosi.
