Hillary Clinton Lied About Ohio Woman Who Was Denied Treatment

April 6, 2008

While on the campaign trail Hillary Clinton has been telling a story about a pregnant woman whose baby was stillborn, and who also died because of complications during chilbirth. She has been using this story as a way to tout her socialized heath care plan.

While the woman and the baby in the story did in fact die, Mrs. Clinton’s storytelling doesn’t quite match what actually happened.

hospital administrators said Friday that Ms. Bachtel was under the care of an obstetrics practice affiliated with the hospital, that she was never refused treatment and that she was, in fact, insured.

Furthermore, the hospital wants her to stop telling her lies.

“We implore the Clinton campaign to immediately desist from repeating this story,” said Rick Castrop, chief executive officer of the O’Bleness Health System.

While it is not shocking that Hillary Clinton would stoop so low as to lie about a woman and a baby who died during childbirth for her own political gain, it is still depicable. I have said it time and time again and I will say it again, there is no level the Clinton’s won’t stoop to regain the White House.

This is just another example. In that regard, they never disappoint, do they?

And you’re expecting HRC to tell the truth after so many years doing the opposite?

I just wrote an article about Hillary and I thought maybe it was a little harsh but she just keeps proving me right. I titled my article, The Pinocchio Complex of Hillary Rodham Clinton.

I doubt she will ever learn. She has been getting away with it for far too long.

It is against the law to deny treatment for emergency situations or to a women in labor regardless of their ability to pay. The law is called “The Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act” or EMTALA and every hopsital knows about it! You’d think she’d know that.

I heard this story earlier and was like “refused care??” At worse the US healthcare system hooks you up and bills you later. they can even tend to get a bit nasty looking for their cash. I have not heard of denial since Jim Crow though so Hill needs to moveon.

Jenny and in2thefray, you are both right, hospitals are not allowed to refuse care because of financial reasons.
