New Hampshire Impeachment Rally on April 14th
Tomorrow as I write this, today as most will read it, in Concord there will be an impeachment rally in Concord. This “event” will be hosted by Betty Hall. Who is Betty Hall you may ask. She is the 300 year old rrepresentative who has introduced impeachment articles to the New Hampshire house. She was urged not to but she feels it is her duty. Why? Just read the following quote:
“My failure to vote for the New Hampshire House resolution for the Nixon impeachment is absolutely the biggest regret of my legislative career. That is why I am so dedicated to doing this now,” she said.
Please tell me what her non vote for Nixon’s impeachment has to do with this stupid impeachment resolution against President Bush. It’s not like the legislature has any more pressing needs, right? Shouldn’t the liberal lawmakers in New Hampshire be more worried about how they have spent New Hampshire into a huge deficit? New Hampshire GOP Chairman Fergus Cullen thinks so.
“Instead of wasting time on this silly impeachment resolution, Gov. John Lynch and his Democratic legislature should be focusing on the budget deficit caused by their 17.5 percent increase in state spending. Education funding continues to be a mess, and the Constitutional Amendment appears to be foundering due to Gov. Lynch’s lack of leadership. These are the real issues Gov. Lynch and the Democratic legislature ought to be focusing on, not the impeachment resolution,” Cullen said.
Fergus Cullen goes on to ask where other New Hampshire politicians stand on this ridiculouspartisan resolution. We need to know where Jeane Shaheen stands on this issue, we need to know where moonbat Governor John Lynch stands.
- If she were a member of the US Senate, Jeanne Shaheen would vote on impeachment. Does she support the resolution? Is she planning to attend the rally on Monday or will she be conveniently out of state, like she was when she skipped voting on the pledge resolution at Madbury Town Meeting?
- Will Gov. Lynch attend the rally? Does he support the resolution? If he doesn’t, why won’t he say so publicly?
- Will Shea-Porter or Hodes attend? As members of Congress, they would vote on impeachment. Do they believe the president and vice-president should be impeached? Will Shea-Porter offer the protesters refreshments, like she did with war protesters in her first month in office?
A vote on the impeachment resolution is scheduled for Wednesday. That will be the day that determines how far left New Hampshire has actually turned. Betty Hall was asked to let go of this obsession by legislators who know that this is a no win situation. Now they will be forced to vote on it. They risk either losing the far left wing of the Democrat party that has wrestled control of New Hampshire, or the more moderate and independent voters who will not put up with such obvious pandering.
Wednesday could let us know exactly how far New Hampshire has fallen.

Seems like the biggest waste of time ever.

You forget that the House has voted on even more absurd resolutions like whether the United States should withdraw from the United Nations.
This resolution, while controversial, does have some merit.

This woman does realize that “1-20-09″ is less than a year away, right? Can she please also explain to me the comparison between President Bush and Nixon? I think Porter, Lynch, et al. will all conveniently have other plans Wednesday. I think a lot of people will have a very diffucult time finding the”merit”. Pardon the expression– retards.

I would presume Putney didn’t scroll down and see your Reject the UN gif.
Impeaching Bush now would put Cheney in office and eligible to challenge McCain. It is just a political game at this stage that will only serve in showing why some need to be voted out of office. Impeaching Bush or not, he is still stepping down soon.
Now withdrawing from the UN has numerous benefits and should be done. But I doubt drive-by posters ever return to follow up on a topic.

I once thought about moving to NH. I still think it has a lot of beauty to it but the pay differential I’d face and the evolving politics is really squashing that thought. Just so others know how bad an insult this comment is I currently live in MA. Yeah you guys are getting that bad.

The UN is nothing more than an entity designed to take America’s money and give it away. The UN is promoting global socialization. I think the resolution to leave the UN is much more beneficial to the US that pretend impeachment hearings. You are fight Gary, Putney will not be back.
In2thefray, I used to watch the politics in Ma. and get one hell of a laugh out of it. It doesn’t seem that funny anymore. We may be getting as bad as Ma. but we aren’t there yet. Soon, but not yet.
