Phoenix Sheriff Under Investigation for Enforcing Immigration Laws

 A county sheriff in Phoenix Arizona, the state that pro-amnesty presidential candidate John McCain is from, has been enforcing immigration laws. He has been cracking down on illegal immigration. He has been rewarded for his just and noble efforts by being harassed by none other than the ACLU for alleged human rights violations. Once again the American Criminals/Communist Liberties Union sides with criminals.

 That is not surprising, but there is pressure from another source also. The mayor of Phoenix wants the FBI to investigate the case also.

In an April 4 letter to U.S. Attorney General Michael Mukasey, Mayor Phil Gordon asked the agency and the Justice Department’s civil rights division to examine what he called discriminatory harassment and improper stops, searches, and arrests by sheriff’s deputies in Maricopa County, which encompasses the metropolitan area.

“Over the past few weeks, Sheriff Arpaio‘s actions have infringed on the civil rights of our residents,” Gordon wrote. “They have put our residents’ well-being, and the well-being of law enforcement officers, at risk.”

 Infringed on the rights of their residents? No mention of the fact that the residents in question are illegal residents. Just being a resident doesn’t give you any rights if your residency is ILLEGAL.

 This sheriff should be applauded for upholding the law, not investigated. This is all happening the the state that John McCain calls home. One must wonder where the illegal immigrant loving John McCain stands on this issue. John McCain must have his feet held to the fire on this issue. I consider it to be one of the biggest, if not the biggest issue in this year’s election. I believe illegal immigration is directly related to national security and on this issue John McCain fails. As do both Democrats.

 People in all levels of government seem to be deaf to the will of the people on this issue. From President Bush to John McCain to Barack Obama to Hillary Clinton to Ted Kennedy the list goes on and on.

 Here in New Hampshire a police officer was having no luck enforcing illegal immigration so he tried arresting the illegals on criminal tresspassing charges. Wrong, it didn’t work. This is so frustrating. On a federal level the will of the people is not being heard. And on local levels it is no better. Good people try to enforce the laws, but as this Phoenix story shows us, the people in charge are not responding. Other than to side with illegals, that is.

 How has America gotten to the point where we are being governed by the ACLU? The will of the citizens is be subverted by the will of the illegals, and it is sure to mean the end of America as we know it.
