Hillary Clinton Pathetically Campaigns as an After Thought
With all of the bickering back and forth between Obama and McCain on the prospects of America holding talks with terrorist states without pre-conditions one thing remains painfully clear. Hillary Clinton is nothing but an after thought, Barack Obama has moved on to the general election leaving Hillary in the dust.
Barack Obama realizes that Hillary’s campaign is over, John McCain realizes that Hillary’s campaign is over, the only person that doesn’t realize it is Hillary herself. McCain and Obama have started to clash on policies and Hillary is relegated to screeching out to anyone who will listen that she is still in the game. And she believes it too. But, alas it isn’t true.
She reminds me of the child who doesn’t think that she is getting enough attention from her parents while her parents attend to the needs of a sibling so she is tugging on her mother’s shirt to get attention. Hillary is that child, tugging on Obama’s shirt, saying, don’t forget about me. But Obama has forgotten about her, and more importantly the media has forgotten about her.
I almost feel sorry for her, but she has been the spoiled child for so long now that she is just getting her just rewards. Hillary, go sit in the corner.

I agree! It was interesting though today, a guy who was filling in for Rush brought up that he thinks a lot of Dems are having 2nd thoughts about Obama because of now knowing about Wright & Ayers and that if the primaries could be done over that Hillary might win. He brought up some good points.
The problem for Dems is do you pick between someone who is anti-American and extremely liberal or do you pick someone who is dishonest and corrupt but who pretends to be not quite as liberal?
This whole election is just turning into one big nightmare. There are going to be people sitting at home mad not voting on both sides of the aisle.

I have to respectfully disagree with you.
If it were over for Hillary, she would not still be winning states, and she still is. Even in the states she loses, it’s usually something like 55/45 against Obama. It would be a different story if the results were 90/10.
Clearly many Americans still support Hillary and want her as the President. It’s a bit misinformed for the media to continue rambling on about how it’s over.
I try to put myself in her shoes. If a race were this close, would I really close up shop after coming this far? I think not.
Hillary is passionate about her country, and millions of Americans support her. When you’re a passionate woman, people think you’re a bitch. When you’re a passionate man, people think you’re a strong hero.
I respect Barack and if he does end up being the nominee, he will have my vote in November.
But in the mean time, I encourage bloggers to stop rambling on about how Hillary’s campaign is over. Clearly a lot of states disagree. I think it’s a bit unfair to discount the millions of people in America who did vote for her. Our voices count too.

I have noticed you are number one. Way to go!
I have done a lot of reading and research on good ole Hillary and you have to realize that her mantra is, “I will never give up. Ever.” This has to be very difficult for her.
I hope she realizes that it has come to and end and she doesn’t drop any bombs at the convention. I hear that Bill is planning to make sure her delegates don’t go to Obama unless he takes her on as his VP. Could you imagine. Not one but both of them on the ticket. Holy Moly!
Anyway, we cannot say this has not been an interesting election thus far.

Isn’t the math totally in Obama’s favor? I think Hill is just counting on something happening with Fla. & MI. But wasn’t Obama’s name not even on the ballots in one of the two? Well, in any case, I’ll be sad, because I love hearing that cackle of hers. It makes me snort.

Kevin,
There are a few bits of reality that Clinton supporters like yourself need to realize.
First, there can be only one Democrat nominee and it is down to either Obama or Clinton.
Second, mathematically Clinton is toast. She cannot catch up in the pledged delegate counts. She is a long ways away from the 2026 needed. Obama is within 100. She agreed in 2007 on Michigan and Florida but now wants the rules changed to favor her.
That last part is the biggest turn off and flashback for those of us who remember the Bill Clinton times. They would follow the rules only when it benefited them. Otherwise, they would break the law or rules. That left a bad taste in 40% of the general electorate who will never vote for her.
There are so few states left it is very safe to say from all mathematical and logical standpoints the Democrat race is over. Obama has effectively won.
It is over. Come to terms with it and move on.

Thanks Dominique, I see you are up there as well.
It is over for Hillary, while neither candidate can get to the magic number during the primaries there is no way in hell that the super delegates are going to take the nomination away from Obama. That is why it is over.

It’s over for Hillary but I wonder why she is still in the race? I actually don’t really have a problem anymore with her remaining. She has forced Obama to toughen up a little I think with her attacks. And I think she will force him to get more precise on details. I’ve read both of their sites and while his is more visually appealing, I retained more detail from hers and can actually specify exactly what many of her proposals are. I don’t agree with all of them but she did a good job making them clear as day.
Personally, I think if she made a few adjustments to her staff and *ahem* marital partner, she may sway public opinion a little more in her favor. She also needs to stop pretending like she didn’t pledge not to campaign and support the FL and MI elections.

I am not suprised that her website offers more direct details, because she may actually have a plan. All that Obama has is hope and change, and change may not always be good. So he hides his true agenda in feel good speeches. Good point about Hillary and the FL and Mich. delegates, she wants everyone to forget that she was in favoe of punishing these states. Now that punishing the states has hurt her she has changed her mind.
