Barack Obama to Pursue Criminal Charges Against President Bush if Elected

September 4, 2008

In a sign that the Barack Obama campaign is growing increasingly more desperate, Joe Biden has said that if Barack Obama wins the presidency that he may pursue criminal charges against President Bush. The nomination of Sarah Palin as vice presidential candidate has rocked the liberal world, they are scared to death of her and that is why they have unleashed the full frontal assault of the liberal media upon her.

Now Barack Obama is so scared that his running mate is talking about criminal charges against President Bush. Barack Obama’s campaign has decided to turn even further to the left than he already is and that is a scary thought as he is already the most liberal person ever to win a major party’s nomination for president. This just shows the world how desperate he has become.

In most general elections a candidate tries to move to the center to attract moderate voters, but Barack Obama must be worried that Sarah Palin is going to win those votes so instead he turns even farther to the left. He is now the candidate who has to reconnect with his base after John McCain was the candidate who had problems with his base. Suddenly John McCain has shored up his base and Barack Obama is running scared, he needs to pander to the moonbats who care about nothing else other than bringing down President Bush. Sure this will make the far left in need of cold showers but how will it play to middle class America? It won’t help.

Joe Biden is out of touch.

I assume that you not trying to spin but the article reads to me that Biden is saying that if there is evidence of criminal wrongdoing by the previous administration, an Obama administration would pursue charges.

“And the mere fact … that it occurred in a previous administration doesn’t mean [a subsequent] Justice Department, if, in fact, there’s evidence, shouldn’t pursue them. “But I have no evidence of any of that. No one’s talking about pursuing President Bush criminally.”

He actually says that he knows of no evidence and of no talk of actually doing it.

Are you saying that if a McCain administration found or are presented with evidence of wrong doing, they will just sweep it under the rug? That sounds pretty lawless to me.

No It’s just there are more important things to do than focus on criminal charges. Like the economy stupid

One of the smartest things that W ever did was not going after the Clintons (even though he probably should have) when he was elected. Biden is an idiot to bring this up. The only people that this will appease is the extreme left, everyone else will not be won over by it like you said. Biden is definitely out of touch.

Bush tried to reach out to Democrats early on in his presidency but we saw how that turned out. Once Bush is out of office the left would do best by just letting go.

    Deb, kind of!

Terrant: Of course Mr. Pink Eyes is spinning the story. His use of words like “desperate” and “running scared” and his invocation of that favorite right-wing shibboleth the “liberal media” are hardly markers of objective reporting.

Mr. Pink Eyes fails to note that Biden did not raise the issue, he was responding to a question from Brian Kilmeade of “Fox & Friends”.

Remembering that presidents are chosen not by popular vote but by the electoral college, it’s difficult to make Mr. Pink Eyes’ argument for Democratic desparation. While a possible Palin bounce may have gotten McCain back to even in the popular vote, the Electoral College map has Obama written all over it. Currently (6 September) RealClearPolitics.com shows Obama in command of 238 Electoral College votes, 22 shy of the magic 270, with McCain trailing badly at 174 (if one counts current toss-up states, in fact, RealClear already has Obama over the top). Even worse, Pollster.com puts Obama at 260 ECVs, 81 votes ahead of McCain and just ten short of victory. Take the leaning states out of the picture and Obama’s lead at Pollster widens to an incredible 116 votes. Of the top ten EC prizes, McCain currently commands but one: Texas, with 34 ECVs. Five (California, New York, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and New Jersey), with 143 ECVs, are leaning or strongly pro-Obama.

Let me rephrase that, Biden is a big mouth, which is good, because he will eventually need room for both of his feet in there.
