President Bush Signs the Bailout Bill
October 3, 2008
It’s official, Wall Street officially got the bailout bill that they so desperately wanted. What was their reaction to the bill that was going to save their asses? The Dow fell over 300 points after the congress approved the bill. The Dow was up 200 when the announcement came, and finished over 100 points lower.
It’s also official that the United States has moved even further into the realm of socialism. And it is only the beginning, just wait until after Obama is elected. I have written about it before and I don’t have the energy or the will to write about this anymore so you can read this article to see what I mean about the United States moving towards socialism.

For some reason I still had some audacity of hope that they would shoot the bill down like they did before. I think I am gonna have a couple of drinks tonight to celebrate our glorious road into socialism.
Once Obama takes over we will only pick up speed on that journey.
To quote Amidala from star wars “So this is how liberty dies… with thunderous applause”.

Funny how that quote which was meant as a dig at President Bush fits better here with the looming prospect of a President Obama. Actually it isn’t funny at all.

I hate to see what else was attached to the bill – I can just smell the bacon cooking…

I heard, tax breaks for the makers of Puerto Rican rum, the builders of Nascar tracks, (I’m not making this up) and some other equally as odd things. We wouldn’t even be talking about this if it weren’t for “community organizers” and social engineering. Who cares about Bill Ayers and Rev Wright, if Obama gets elected, there won’t be a bailout big enough to help.

Isn’t there also something in there for makers of wooden arrows, or something foolish like that?

I would like to add that I find it interesting that McCain said that any earmarks in this bailout would be absolutely unacceptable. However, when it came down to it, not only did McCain vote for it he advocated for it. What that tells me, his promises to veto legislation containing earmarks are hollow.
