Who Won the Last Presidential Debate?

I stumbled across your blog by accident. It’s always interesting to read how my opposites think. One thing I don’t understand about conservatives is how inflexible they come across. You appear to have two columns—one for Republicans, one for Democrats, and the qualities listed for each don’t seem to be interchangeable to you. I don’t think people are all one thing. I drink a beer now and then, but I enjoy a nice Reisling, too. I don’t own a gun (I’d probably shoot my foot off) but I don’t have a problem with other people owning one. I just think we should observe the law about registering their ownership, like we do with cars, and having a waiting period so that convicted felons and various crazies can be tracked. I don’t think that abortion should involve government, either national or state. It’s between a woman and her doctor. I’d hate to think that a bunch of legislators are allowed to tell me what I can do with my body. I had an abortion once—I was happily married and the baby was miserably deformed and would not have survived. My life was in the balance, as well, for other reasons. I had three other children. What kind of government would decide that I wasn’t important enough to save, to be there to raise my children? But that’s what it would be like if we overturned Roe vs Wade.
