650 Scientists to Dissent on Man-Made Global Warming Claims

December 10, 2008

global-warmingThe UN is currently holding a global warming conference in Poland. During this conference the UN claimed that man-made global warming is proved without a shadow of a doubt. There is only one problem though, there are 650 scientists who are ready to testify that the global warming alarmists are full of shit. 650 strong and growing.

Here are some excerpts from the above linked article of what these scientists are going to testify:

“I am a skeptic…Global warming has become a new religion.”– Nobel Prize Winner for Physics, Ivar Giaever.

“Since I am no longer affiliated with any organization nor receiving any funding, I can speak quite frankly….As a scientist I remain skeptical.” –  Atmospheric Scientist Dr. Joanne Simpson, the first woman in the world to receive a PhD in meteorology  and formerly of NASA who has authored more than 190 studies and has been called “among the most preeminent scientists of the last 100 years.”

Warming fears are the “worst scientific scandal in the history…When people come to know what the truth is, they will feel deceived by science and scientists.”– UN IPCC Japanese Scientist Dr. Kiminori Itoh, an award-winning PhD environmental physical chemist.

“The IPCC has actually become a closed circuit; it doesn’t listen to others. It doesn’t have open minds… I am really amazed that the Nobel Peace Prize has been given on scientifically incorrect conclusions by people who are not geologists,”– Indian geologist Dr. Arun D. Ahluwalia at Punjab University and a board member of the UN-supported International Year of the Planet.

“The models and forecasts of the UN IPCC “are incorrect because they only are based on mathematical models and presented results at scenarios that do not include, for example, solar activity.” – Victor Manuel Velasco Herrera, a researcher at the Institute of Geophysics of the National Autonomous University of Mexico

“It is a blatant lie put forth in the media that makes it seem there is only a fringe of scientists who don’t buy into anthropogenic global warming.”– U.S Government Atmospheric Scientist Stanley B. Goldenberg of the Hurricane Research Division of NOAA.

“Even doubling or tripling the amount of carbon dioxide will virtually have little impact, as water vapour and water condensed on particles as clouds dominate the worldwide scene and always will.” – . Geoffrey G. Duffy, a professor in the Department of Chemical and Materials Engineering of the University of Auckland, NZ.

“After reading [UN IPCC chairman] Pachauri’s asinine comment [comparing skeptics to] Flat Earthers, it’s hard to remain quiet.” – Climate statistician Dr. William M. Briggs, who specializes in the statistics of forecast evaluation, serves on the American Meteorological Society’s Probability and Statistics Committee and is an Associate Editor of Monthly Weather Review.

“For how many years must the planet cool before we begin to understand that the planet is not warming? For how many years must cooling go on?” – Geologist Dr. David Gee the chairman of the science committee of the 2008 International Geological Congress who has authored 130 plus peer reviewed papers, and is currently at Uppsala University in Sweden.

“Gore prompted me to start delving into the science again and I quickly found myself solidly in the skeptic camp…Climate models can at best be useful for explaining climate changes after the fact.”– Meteorologist Hajo Smit of Holland, who reversed his belief in man-made warming to become a skeptic, is a former member of the Dutch UN IPCC committee.

“Many [scientists] are now searching for a way to back out quietly (from promoting warming fears), without having their professional careers ruined.”– Atmospheric physicist James A. Peden, formerly of the Space Research and Coordination Center in Pittsburgh.

“Creating an ideology pegged to carbon dioxide is a dangerous nonsense…The present alarm on climate change is an instrument of social control, a pretext for major businesses and political battle. It became an ideology, which is concerning.” – Environmental Scientist Professor Delgado Domingos of Portugal, the founder of the Numerical Weather Forecast group, has more than 150 published articles.

“CO2 emissions make absolutely no difference one way or another….Every scientist knows this, but it doesn’t pay to say so…Global warming, as a political vehicle, keeps Europeans in the driver’s seat and developing nations walking barefoot.”– Dr. Takeda Kunihiko, vice-chancellor of the Institute of Science and Technology Research at Chubu University in Japan.

“The [global warming] scaremongering has its justification in the fact that it is something that generates funds.”– Award-winning Paleontologist Dr. Eduardo Tonni, of the Committee for Scientific Research in Buenos Aires and head of the Paleontology Department at the University of La Plata.

My favorite quote is the second one, this one:

Since I am no longer affiliated with any organization nor receiving any funding, I can speak quite frankly….As a scientist I remain skeptical.

The reason that quote is my favorite is simple. It confirms something that I have written about in the past about this hoax, and it is an angle that is not discussed and mentioned enough.

The scientist claims that now that he is not receiving funding he feels safe to speak the truth.I have written before about scientists who just tow the global warming line because they are afraid to lose their funding, their grant money, and now we have this man confirming that to be a possibility to dissenters who rely on the federal funds.

Man-made global warming is a political issue and the global warming Jesus is Al Gore.A politician. Global warming is nothing but a conspiracy to separate you from your money and the threat of scientists being separated from their money keeps them in line as Al Gore’s apostles.

Man-made global warming is the biggest hoax ever perpetuated on the American people and the people of the world. We need to stop this before it is too late. Once we become subjugated to the global warming gods there is no turning back. We will all be forced to worship at the global warming alter.

“We need to stop this before it is to late.”

    to =/= too.

On another note, I’ve been saying this for years.

I have corrected that. The fingers don’t work as fast as the mind, I guess. 🙂 If only the WordPress spellcheck included grammar check also.

I have no idea one way or another on global warming. But I’m not funded to have an opinion either! When I was a child they taught us another ice age was coming up if we didn’t watch it. The only interest the global warming scenario holds for me is an opportunity to stop the environmental terrorism performed by the huge companies who do unbelievable damage to the country-side and to our health. Sorry, just for good stewardship of the planet. We seem to have such wasteful tendencies and I’ll take any platform I can get. Great article though. I hope you don’t mind if I include you on my blogroll. I like well-thought out blogs. Thanks, Jim

Excellent post, and we’re with you on every word you write about the manufactured charade called man-made global warming. We’re going to post those quotes up at Political Vindication for the archives – with a link to you.

Climatologists are expecting an arctic wind to sweep through southern California this upcoming week – an event that happens once every fifty years or so. They’re warning us we might have to put on sweaters.

    Fuck you Algore.

Honestly, I can’t believe that we’re still having this conversation. Last I heard via the non-agenda-skewed sources, 2008 was the coldest year in over a decade and that there actually has been no upward trend in temperature in recent years.

The last two days I have left for work here have been miserable below zero and windy. Global warming my ass!

And I’m sorry, but changing the rules half-way through and claiming that cooling is also a symptom of warming is a bunch of crap. It’s nothing but an attempt to build an argument that is so all-encompassing that there is no way to argue against it. I am so sick of this, and with Obama meeting with Albert now, I am really worried that things will go into overdrive here in America.

I’m interested to read more about how these 650 scientists compare to the thousands of scientists that believe that Climate Change is real. I know there is a lot of uncertainty in the models that predict how the earth’s climate will change and I guess there is question on whether that change is the result of anthropogenic causes. But let’s remember it is NOT global warming, it is climate CHANGE. So we can’t simply write off the notion of human induced climate change by saying the earth is not getting warmer. And further it is the effects of climate change on the global scale that are troubling not just how the weather is in your neck of the woods on any given day. With that said, I would like to see the critiques of the climate models based on the scientific grounds whether those models have faulty assumptions or because they exclude critical data like solar flares etc. Though I would also be concerned if those models were incorrect in underestimating the effects of climate change. The truth of the matter is there have been changes to our environment in my own lifetime, which is only 31 years but very noticeable to me and to many others. There have also been drastic consequences on the earth’s environment due to the other pollutants emitted from fossil fuel burning and industrial animal production, not just CO2. These effects are very real and have detrimental impacts on the local communities that are adjacent to these sources. So as one of the earlier comments stated I agree that the benefits of moving away from a fossil fuel based economy could have tremendous benefits to human health and improvements.

Funny how the UN IPCC Chairman is a railroad engineer by trade and education. Also, how the NASA climate honcho, who is one of the top four contributors of data to the IPCC, inadvertantly rolled September’s temperature data into his figures for October and claimed October to be the hottest October since some silly date.

Hard to keep this serious when this week saw snow in Houston, Texas and New Orleans, LA.

I’m building a compilitation of anti-global warming stories and have a neat 48 single spaced pages since October 19th this year. That’s roughly 24 pages of stories per month.

Of course, we could all be wrong and should be on our knees thanking Al Gore for all the work he has done in reducing Global Warming to the current setting of record low temperatures this.

OK, Somebody’s been watching too much NBC news, there are not THOUSANDS of scientists that believe that Climate Change is real. And even if there are, you are missing the point all togather. The argument is that the alleged climate change is unnatural, ie man made, and significant.
What we do have are thousands of under educated, non-scientists, alarmists trying to capitalize on a man made over hyped senario. And that’s just what this global warming scam is – man made.

Another thing we need to watch is the transformation from “Global Warming” which they can’t win anymore, to the more generic religion of “Climate Change” which will allow them to be right no matter what happens.

It only takes a few thousand anthro-centrists simians to think they are greater than God and nature to create this panic to try to control nature. We can’t control it, we must adapt to it.

Hear, hear Deb! How in the world did Al Gore get to be an authority on anything, let alone something as complicated as the global climate? He, and most of the global warming/climate change alarmists, are NOT scientists nor educated any more than most high school graduates on the subject.
