Global Warming Alarmists are Driving Children Insane

February 10, 2009

Last year there was a story about a boy who had been indoctrinated into the idea of man-made global warming to the point where he was afraid to drink water because he thought that it would kill people.

Last year, an anxious, depressed 17-year-old boy was admitted to the psychiatric unit at the Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne. He was refusing to drink water. Worried about drought related to climate change, the young man was convinced that if he drank, millions of people would die. The Australian doctors wrote the case up as the first known instance of “climate change delusion.”

The first case of climate change delusion. That sounds like a fitting name to me, if you think that climate change is real and is man-made you are delusional. But anyway, this was the first case but according to this article there is a growing number of children that are beginning to suffer from this disease.

now seen several more patients with psychosis or anxiety disorders focused on climate change, as well as children who are having nightmares about global-warming-related natural disasters

The article goes on to explain that people often have anxiety over traumatic events and disasters, and that is what we are seeing from our children about global warming, but is it?

I don’t think that that is what is going on here. The global warming alarmists are frightening our children into believing that they are destroying the planet by their very existence. Global warming alarmists are traumatizing our children. It is almost criminal the mental anguish that these people are subjecting our children to.

Day in and day out our children are being deluged with images of falling icebergs, flooded homelands, death, destruction, devastation, starvation, and all kinds of other horrific possibilities because of global warming. They are also being taught that all of this is their fault. And then we wonder why some of them are feeling stressor depression? They feel guilty for their very existence.

These children are literally being driven insane by these global warming alarmists.

These people are committing child abuse.

That’s nonsense. Growing up, I was aware of global warming, and I was aware that we had an affect as human beings (It’s a fact by the way, this isn’t even a debate any more) and i never felt guilty. Me keeping my TV on standby isn’t going to cause an ice cap to melt, but collectively, it has consequences.

The only people who deny it, are those working for oil companies, conducting research on the money of oil companies, or those who think Sarah Palin is some sort of authority on anything other than being unbelievably stupid.

See, that’s the problem I have. Why can there be no debate? It isn’t a fact, it is a theory, I can point you to many articles that I have written about and linked to where scientists claim there is no man-made global warming. Including 650 scientists who dissented at the UN conference earlier this year.
The fact that so many people are saying that we can’t debate this issue any more makes me question it all the more.
When you write about the oil companies and the people who work for them as the deniers, you don’t think that there are plenty of people who are ready to profit, and already are, from the “green” movement who have an interest in cutting off debate?

    Feel free to disprove it.
Damn all those scientists, with their pesky evidence.

I had nightmares every single night for two years after moving to a new school where they regularly practiced atomic bomb drills. The teacher told us we were at ground zero and it was just a matter of time before the Russians attacked.

I grew up to be a well-adjusted adult.

Maybe people would have more respect for theory of man made global warming if the champion would walk the walk rather than talk the talk. As it stands, the only inconvenience of his truth is for the little guy. Maybe there would be more respect if the Koyoto Protocol did not exclude India and China. Afterall, if we are heading towards disaster, why would we even give them an exemption. Once their economies get up to speed, our pollution will be nothing compared to theirs.

No, there is a hidden agenda at work here.

Contrary to what the cultists believe, there is a scientific method and skepticism is very much a part of the process. Dismissing skeptics as what futile’s linked article does, just further solidifies my believe that global warming climate change is nothing more than a religion.

If the science is so sound and indisputable, why the need to discredit anyone who express skepticism? Why not allow legitimate scientists who have evidence to the contrary to pubish their findings in journals? Why the need to threaten meteorologists with loss of their credentials if they dissent?

Don’t get me wrong, I’m for reducing pollution and developing alternative energy technology but let’s leave religion out of the debate.

I agree with everything that you said. The fact that Al Gore and the likes fly around in private jets while telling us that our cars are the problem, and the fact that China and India, which I would guess pollute the planet much more than we do, are exempt from the Kyoto protocol make this just too hypocritical to accept.
I find it almost funny the way that the alarmists try to claim that the debate is over just because they say so.

They can’t tell us with ANY accuracy what the friggin weather is going to be tomorrow or the next day, but we are supposed to believe they can predict the future out 10 or 100 years?? Give me a break! Only a complete moron would believe that crapola.

How many experts have to pshaw man-made “global warming” before people listen? THe earth has COOLED over the last ten years. Did you see the new Americans for Prosperity ad? It’s pretty funny. Even a teenager should be able to discern Algore’s insanity.

I haven’t seen it, I will have to search youtube to see if it is there.
It’s funny how they like to forget about all of the facts that show the earthi is cooloing even as they claim it is warming.

“the earthi is cooloing even as they claim it is warming”

Hence the reason it is now called “climate change.” It’s a nice little scam now. If it is colder than normal, it’s climate change. If it is warmer than normal, it’s climate change. If there are less hurricanes than normal, it’s climate change. If there are more hurricanes than normal, it’s climate change and so on…

You are right, I keep calling it global warming but the new term is climate change for the very reson that you mentioned. That way every weather related event can be blamed on “climate change” even those that aren’t out of the ordinary.
