Video: President Obama in Fort Myers (How Obama Got Elected)

February 11, 2009

President Obama has been on a campaign style tour trying to sell his stimulus package to the skeptical American people. Yesterday he stopped in Fort Myers Florida to try to drum up support for this disaster. After his speech he took questions about the stimulus bill. Or at least they were supposed to be about the stimulus bill, here are two questions that people asked of the president.

Instead of asking about the stimulus plan these two people said, give me, give me, give me. Is this what we have come to in America? People begging the president for a car, a house, and a kitchen and another man begging for the president to force a private business to give him better benefits? (The fact that this man is in his second semester of college and can’t put a single sentence together is scary enough and a subject for another day.)

I understand that this women has hit hard times, I have been unemployed with two small children a few times myself, I know what it is like, but there was a time in America where a person got up off the mat when they were down and started fighting all over again. That is what I did.

But one can hardly blame this women, or this man, for begging the president for a handout, he is sowing the seeds that he reaped. He has propagated the whole notion that he is going to give to everybody what they want. Do these people, the people who got him elected actually believe that he is going to personally take care of them? Remember this video from a campaign stop before the election:

We have created this culture where it is okay to expect government handouts, it is no longer honorable to work hard and make a living on your own. As more and more people jump on the government bandwagon and there are less and less of us working people to support, how are we supposed to pay for this?

You cannot blame the college student either for believing that the government should interfere in a private business, we have seen the beginning of this meddling under President Bush’s TARP program and it has even expanded under President Obama.

This is the direction America is headed in. These are the people who voted for President Obama, and if they have reached a permanent plurality than we are doomed. Working Americans will be paying for these people for the foreseeable future.

Thank you for using my video on your site. It was a moment and I agree with you that no one can blame these people; Look at the position that everyone has been placed in. I would have done the same thing if I was Homeless in that position especially at her age.I also Know that it was not staged since I waited in line 17 hrs for tickets the day before and she was there right along with me in line. Good Story…

I think that you misunderstood why I claimed that she cannot be blamed for her question. I was talking about the culture that makes it acceptable to look for government handouts in place of hard work and dedication to self improvement.

    RE Nia: Really?
I think that this is a large part of the problem. The obamatards have their heads so far up their asses or obama’s ass that they cannot even see when they are being ridiculed, or rather that their complete idiocy is being pointed out, let alone see past their love haze and see what this fascist is doing. Which is robbing the American people and driving us head long into a true economic crisis and socialism.
There is a great article over at Pro Patria, , on the futility of government intervention. My favorite line is “When genuine wealth generators have to compete with government for labor and resources, the productive sector is weakened at the hands of the parasitic sector”, which pretty much sums up the consequences.

And why the hell would anyone want the gubment to take care of them? What kind of quality of life do people on welfare have? Why would anyone want to live like that? Sloth is a sin. (Sorry, couldn’t help it). If you take personal responsibility, you will get what you want/need. If you depend on someone else, you will not. Simple.
