Massachusetts to Raise Gas Tax by 19 Cents

February 20, 2009

Massachusetts Governor Deval Patrick, who said that he opposed raising the state gas tax, has today announced that he would indeed raise the state gas tax by 19 cents to a total of 42.5 cents a gallon. Massachusetts will have the highest gas tax in the country. Congratulations are in order for the Massachusetts governor, he has made Massachusetts number one. YEAH!

Massachusetts residents should consider themselves lucky, he thought about raising it by 29 cents, so you caught a break because he cares do much about you. YEAH, again!

There is also talk about that chip that he plans on installing in the inspection stickers so that he can track how far Massachusetts residents drive so that he can tax them a per mile driven tax. that idea isn’t going away. The gas tax increase will be in addition to the per miles driven tax.

installing chips in vehicle inspection stickers to track mileage driven on state roads and charge drivers a tax. Transportation Secretary James Aloisi said the administration is asking the Registry of Motor Vehicles to look into technology and initiatives for the program, but did not have a timeline for implementation

Let me see if I understand this. When gas prices were high, it was wrong for big oil to profit from gas sales, now that gas prices are low it is okay for big government to profit from gas sales.

Why is it okay for the government to make windfall profits on the backs of it’s constituents? I want an investigation.

I hope they are enjoying the fruits of the liberal tree up there. This is what happens when liberals run the ship. Big government spending on the backs of the tax payers. Scares the hell out of me. I saw a story that said the Transportation secretary Ray LaHood is looking to do the same mileage tax thing for the whole USA, Yeah. Guess next they will just jam a GPS up our butts so they tax us no matter what form of transportation we use.

Yeah, it looks like Mass residents will end up paying a state and federal miles driven tax on top of this huge gas tax increase.

Here is what I suggest we do, send Gov. Patrick the lint from the bottom of your pants pockets. Thats what I have left at the end of every month. Perhaps Gov. Patrick and his liberal cronnies will then listen to our outcry of not having any extra cash to pay for this little states big money wows. It’s time Gov. for you and the state legislators to listen to the public. WE DO NOT WANT ANY HIGHER TAXES. WE DONT HAVE IT. FIND ANOTHER WAY. Oh ya one more thing, if President Obama asks you to join his administration, take it because you will never get reelected here in Massachusetts.

They are not going to listen to you because they believe they know what is best for you. They believe that you don’t know what is good for you so they will take care of you.

Nevermind the lint, send him the two dead flies. We can only hope that Obama invents a position for Duh-val. Unfortunately, I think at this point it doesn;t matter who the governor is, Beacon Hill is too corrupt for it to make much difference.
