Obama to Push Immigration Reform (Amnesty) This Year

One of my biggest concerns about the presidential election last year was where the candidates stood on illegal immigration. Both supported amnesty for illegal aliens. The fact that John McCain actually authored the amnesty bill, along with Ted Kennedy, that would have granted amnesty to illegals is one of the biggest reasons that made him such a horrible choice as GOP candidate for president.
President Bush and John McCain tried to push through immigration reformthat would have granted amnesty for illegals but it was stopped in the House of Representatives when the voice of the people was heard. The people were vehemently opposed to this idea in large numbers. After the representatives received thousands of angry phone calls and email the conservatives in the house managed to kill the bill.
But everything has changed now. There are fewer conservatives in the house and in the senate and there is a pro-amnesty president in the White House (which we would have gotten either way last November). It comes as no surprise that immigration reform is back on the table and the president hopes to push hard on immigration reform this year. Naturally this immigration reform would include rewarding those that broke the law to get in the country with citizenship– amnesty.
He said then that comprehensive immigration legislation, including a plan to make legal status possible for an estimated 12 million illegal immigrants, would be a priority in his first year in office
While Americans are losing their jobs in this tough economy it seems like a doubly bad time to begin debating the horrible notion that illegals should be granted amnesty. It seems to me that if we began adhering to the immigration laws that are on the books and began deporting some of these 12 million illegals it would open up more jobs for some of the Americans who are losing their jobs.
I don’t want to hear President Bush’s condescending excuse from the last immigration debate that Americans won’t do these jobs used in this debate. There are plenty of Americans who need jobs right now and if taking a job that has opened up because an illegal has been deported means putting food on the table for his family that American will do that job.
It just doesn’t seem rational that any political leader would say, let’s give millions of foreign workers permanent access to U.S. jobs when we have millions of Americans looking for jobs
So the debate is coming and as I said, there are fewer of the conservatives who stopped this bill the last time around to stop it again. As I see it, the House of Representatives is still the only chance we have of stopping this once the debate gets started.
Hopefully there are enough of the Blue Dog Democrats in the house that can be persuaded to vote against any immigration reform legislation. We will need to rise up the way we did the last time through telephone calls and emails. We will need to be heard once again.
This is exactly the reason that representatives in the house face re-election every two years– to hold them accountable by the people for their actions. I can’t believe that if enough Republicans and Blue Dog Democrats in the house face thousands of angry phone calls and emails that they will be able to resist the will of the people knowing that they face re-election if they want to keep their job.
This is the only chance that we have to stop this once it gets started, the senate is lost as is the White House on this issue, the power is in our hands. We need to be heard once again.
Sure the president has threatened those Democrats who don’t fall in line with him when he said “don’t think we’re not keeping score, brother” to a Democrat representative who voted against the stimulus package, but our representatives should remember (and be reminded) of one thing. WE THE PEOPLE ARE KEEPING SCORE, and we are the ones who write your ticket. The members of the House of Representatives were sent to Washington to represent us and they must be held accountable if they vote against our wishes.
We may face an uphill battle on this issue the way the congress is presently constituted by we have to try, and we have to be loud. It is the only chance that we have. To quote the president, we are the ones that we have been waiting for. The future of America depends on us.

I have been warning about this happening for over a year. Legalize the illegals and PRESTO, 20 million new Democrat voters! Don’t be fooled by the numbers game. Notice how the MSM and all the liberal leftards that have been trolling blogs have been using the 12 million number lately, like that is the real number? How long have you been hearing 12 to 20 million? It has been YEARS! I guarantee you the correct number by now is approaching 25 to 30 million, probably 30. THAT is 10% of the total population! That is also AT LEAST 10% of the oh-so-expensive health care costs, 10% of the education costs, probably 20% of the welfare costs. When are we going to ship their frigging asses back home where they belong??!! I guess never, as long as that bucking ofama gets his way!

One of the 10 principles to implementing socialism in a country is to create a country without borders. Legalizing “illegal aliens” would do just that because it will open the door for anyone to come here (il)legally!

I think that if the goverment will pursue amnesty is; the goverment will do it in a right way and maybe by means of paying a right amount of fee to get these opportunity to become legal here is US will help the economy here in US when it comes to the money that the goverment will get from this. There’s a lot of illegal here that are not paying taxes and by means of them getting legal is they are entittled to pay taxes and those will help too. And the fact is no matter what there are still and will have illegal here in US; so might as well give those illegal people the chance to become legal here in US. But take the necessary precautions too”’

I really think it is going to take Americans again to stop Obama’s silly comprehensive immigration reform with stupid path to citizenship! Obama seems to be very stubborn and blind to what illegal immigration has done, and are doing to our country America, and the American citizens. it has and are corrupted America. Sure the Hispanic race will become over populated, because they know what they are doing, and because our politicians are helping them to,you must know how they are becoming over populated in the country of America, it is by all of their plots and plans, schemes and scams of America, that is by them getting amnesty by the millions, every time our own politicians decide to give them one, and by our wide open birthrights to them, that allows them to just have their children born here by the millions whenever they want, even as soon as they cross the borders pregnant, this birthrights allow their children if born in America, automatically get granted American citizenship, this in reality is one of illegal aliens schemes and scams, of America, it is also consider an amnesty for their children by the millions, in America.
You must know that our birthright laws also helps their race to become over populated at a very fast pace, also what helps them, is their marriages scams to American citizens, and forcing them selves to have babies by American citizens, America is not just dealing with illegal aliens it is dealing with bold, rude, nasty aggressive people who are spitting and just walking all over American citizens as if though they don’t even exist in their own country, besides it is not just all about them wanting their American dream, it is all about them conquering America, taking America back in their own sneaky way. And Obama and other silly politicians want to just give America to them on a Silver Platter!!!
Illegal aliens in America are the only people that does not have to abide our laws, all immigration laws, and laws period,have been block for them to just have their way in America, just run about America on all their illegal status they have no respect for American citizens, and just because of them being in America illegally and getting their way, American citizens status has been so terribly tarnished, it doesn’t count any more, besides Americans in their own country are required to abide all American laws.
The problem with a path to citizenship is it will hurt Americans terribly, because it will allow them to get in the front line to everything along with their Hispanic race, who are becoming the over populated race in America, while Americans citizens will continue to be second in line. Americans can not get employment now because Americans employment is being held by legal and illegal Hispanics, many Hispanics are in charged of many of our businesses and employment, they tend to hire their own, they are asking for Hispanic who are bilingual, it is to the point where you have to be Hispanic, or have an Hispanic name, it is all about the Hispanic race in America and it is going to get worse! this is not being said out being racist, it is reality!!
All you have to do is look at many of your business and employment, especially in San Diego California, 90% of Hispanics are employed in our gas and electric companies, A&T telephone companies, big companies, construction, custodial, hospital receptionist, social services, wic programs, sec. 8 programs, property managements, waste departments, courts, medical clinics, doctor office receptionist, chiropractors offices, just about every employment you can think of, all of this, while millions of Americans are so unemployed!!!!!!! It seem that the Hispanic race have their own affirmative action program, in our own American employment, their are no diversity any more in our employment, and there are big discrimination in many of our employment now. because of legal and illegal aliens
Let’s face it if a another country of people come to America by the millions and get legalized, and suddenly become the over populated race in America, they will also be the majority, that means that majority race of people will be first in line to employment and many other things in America, the minority which are the real American citizens will be second in line to all of this, American citizens will be force to endure America being conquer by Mexico. all of this will be American citizens will resent this terribly!!
Our schools and colleges has been just given to illegal aliens, because of this illegal aliens children are always first in line to our colleges financial aid, to our 6to6 after school programs, while our American children are second, left on a long waiting list! even our Neighborhood House, Head Start programs, their children are first, our children are left on long waiting list. A path to citizenship for illegal aliens will be thrown on top of Americans if we let it, we must stop this just like we did before!! Americans do not want to be force to live in a new Mexico in our country America!! Our own politicians will force us Americans to live in this mess that they have created, and do not know how to handle, because they do not know how to say no! no! to illegal aliens in America all they know how to do is say yes! yes! to them and cater to their every need, instead of forcing them to abide all American laws!!!

Now is the right time to pass the immigration reform bill, more than 65% American citizen are supporting it. Republicans are always mean minded so don’t need to care them. They don’t have any commonsense and general knowledge. They can’t think big as well.

Charles – Actually I disagree with you. I have never met any American who is out of work who won’t take whatever job they can find to make ends meet. Millions of Americans are doing just that today. Some are working part-time even. I have a friend with a Masters degree and she is taking work through temp agencies. So this idea that Americans won’t do the ‘dirty’ jobs is just hype in order to make us feel bad and allow the ILLEGAL aliens to stay in this country. The democrats would get a huge voting bounce because these aliens would be rewarded for breaking our laws!
The issue here, as Mr. Pink Eyes has eloquently stated is the “rule of law.” Once you start rewarding illegal/bad behavior, you open the door for all sorts of problems. Where will it end?
The borders need to be sealed (as they are in any other sane country) and illegals need to be sent home. You want to live in America, then come here through legal channels. We welcome you.
Also, on the flip side. illegal aliens suffer tremendously when they come here because their status prevents them from the protection you and I receive as citizens.
Enforcing legal immigration will help them as well.

You are not responsible for what your parents did to get you here but you do owe it to them to make the best out of yourself and make them proud. All the suffering they went through to make sure you had an education better make you proud that they went though all they went through for you to have a better start in life. I know many men and women that have been in this same situation and let me tell you they have come a LONG way. They have graduated from top ranking colleges and are VERY important now. Work hard and show people that you have to work twice as hard and thats what makes you a fighter!

I don’t think kids should be punished because of there parents wanting a better life for them in America. You don’t now how hard it is to get a visa to come to America legaly. I understand they didn’t get in line like everyone else but there already HERE! And this is the only home most of them have EVER known.

Criminals? Yes! They broke the law to get here, that makes them criminals. There is no debating that. I know, as you stated in another comment, that it is hard to get here leagally, there is a reason for that. Just because it is hard to do things the right way doesn’t mean that you can break the law to do it an easier way. By breaking the law to come here they are going to be rewarded while people who try to do it the right way get screwed again. How is that fair?

Our president and congress could care less about the hurt of Americans, because of this massive invasion of illegal immigration in America, they think the only way to solve this problem is a stupid comprehensive immigration reform with a path to citizenship or an amnesty! And just ignore what America really needs, which is a comprehensive immigration reform with some strong illegal immigration law enforcements strong deportations, laws who will not worry about separating them from family, who will make sure they take their families with them when and if deported. laws who will strongly find them in our employment with all of their false social security numbers, and American citizens social security numbers they use to get employment, this means strong workplace enforcements to get them out of our employment so Americans can have those employment now!
We also need much stronger politicians, who will not allow illegal aliens to march and protest in our American streets, and demand our politicians for all their wants and needs, who would send them home to do all of that crap on their own streets, who would stop illegal aliens from boldly and rudely, nastily aggressively spitting and walking all over American citizens as though they do not exist in their own country! who would stop them from standing in the front of the lines to everything while their own American citizens are second in line!! who would have more respect and consideration for their own citizens, just like Mexico would.
Mexico politicians are just as bad as their illegal aliens in America, they are waiting for this big amnesty for their people in America also, they really love the idea that their people are becoming over populated in America, this also will be a big conquer of America for them! They love the idea that America will be another Mexico, so they are helping our own politicians to push an amnesty for their people down our throats!!

America does not need anykind of amnesty, or a path to legalization! beleave me this alone will be a terrible disaster! it is bad enought that the vast majority of illegal immigrants are coming from Mexico a third world country! and just pushing them selves on the American citizens! just pushing them selves in the front line to our American employments and government freebees, hospitals and other things! To all our sorry American politicians, this is including our president, they all need to be impeached, for allowing illegal immigrants to empliment all the wrongdoings in America, who just allow them to take fully advantage of our birthrights, just for the sake of their children by the millions get granted an automatic citenships! when is the illegal immigrant insanity of America going to stop? No amnesty or path to citizenship are going to help this massive illegal immigration invasion of America, it will only cater to the mess, it will be just giving Mexico America, it will be helping illegal immigrants conquer America as they had planned! It will cause American to have lost America to Mexico! It will just force Americans to edure in a new Mexico in America! Our own politicians are just the same telling Americans that they might as well deal with illegal immigrants and all their wrongdoings in America, They are also trying to tell Americans that everything will be alright once they give 12-40 million illegal immigrants an amnesty or path to legalization. If illegal immigrants get their way they are going to be terrible, and they are not going to be satisfied, they are going to demand alot more from America,for their people, and since they are going to be the over populated race in America they are going to be terrible, they are going to take over all of America, that is part of all their plots and plans, schemes and scams, in their minds they’re taking America back, especially our border states, they think they are well over dued for it.
