As the Swine Flu Spreads the Mexican Border Remains Open
While Janet Napolitano laments what the swine flu should be called thousands of illegal aliens are pouring over our border on a nightly basis. When asked about closing the border Janet Napolitano said that it was no use now because the disease was already here. The ‘ole the horse is out of the barn cliche.
Because the disease is already here and because it came from Mexico is exactly the reason that we need to close the border– RIGHT NOW! We cannot continue to let illegal aliens cross into the United States unchecked especially with the threat that they could be carrying a deadly contagious disease. Closing the border could at least help contain the disease.
While other countries are taking precautions and tightening their borders we are sitting here doing nothing. Janet Napolitiano’s response– it is too late.
Is she really so afraid to offend the illegal aliens that she is unwilling to take the steps necessary to protect the American people? If so, she has the wrong job description.

Deport the illegals where they are found, fine and imprison those that hire them – simple solution for a complex problem. Too simple, it seems, for those mental midgets in government to grasp.

It seems simple enough, doesn’t it. Just deport then when they are caught. You don’t even need to have stings, although I am all for that also. But when they are caught ship them out. And as you said fine the hell out of the people who employ them, if they continie to do so, throw them in jail. Problem solved.

Of course they are not going to close the borders… If the close the borders, it will prove that the capability was there all along and neither party wanted to do anything about it. No, they would rather take the chance of more people getting sick and possibly overloading our health care system than to fix the border issue.

Very true, we all know that the border could have been closed all along and if they do it now we will know that they are all frauds. But then again we know that they are all frauds any way so why not do what is right?

Yup. Border should have been closed long ago. This won’t change anything. In fact, it probably will do the opposite. Wnderful “leaders” like J. Napolitano will say we need to open up our hospitals, etc. even more to take care of them. It’s THE FLU, people. Not the black plague. If anything, this should prove to the left that socialized (oops sorry, I mean universal) health care is a VERY BAD IDEA.
