Supreme Court Stops the Sale of Chrysler

Today the Supreme Court put a temporary halt on the government ordered sale of Chrysler to Fiat.
Indiana is questioning the constitutionality of the president using TARP funds for bailing out the auto makers. And they have a legitimate gripe, the money was supposed to be used for the bailout of financial institutions.
Evidently the Supreme Court feels there could be an issue with how the TARP funds were allocated or they wouldn’t have agreed to hear the case.
This could get interesting.

Maybe, just maybe the court will step in and stop some of this madness. Seems like the court during the early days of the Roosevelt administration made some efforts to restrain the radical New Deal policies. We’ll have to wait and see.

I am right there with you guys, it would be great to see the SC put an end to this madness. Yes, the SC did slow down FDR’s programs, we need to hope that histiry repeats itself here. Like Joe I am not holding my breath.
