Healthcare Reform Bill to Include Taxpayer Funded Abortion

July 15, 2009

According to this article the healthcare reform bill includes taxpayer funded abortion on demand.

Despite the fact that large majorities of Americans don’t want to fund abortion, the Obama-Kennedy-Dingle bill will nevertheless force every taxpayer and every premium payer in the United States to pay for and facilitate every abortion in the country

That statement was made by Rep. Chris Smith of New Jersey who then went on to say the following.

Despite President Obama’s statement to the pope just last week that he wants to reduce abortion, the ugly truth is that the so-called health care reform bill, if enacted and if not amended, will lead to millions of additional dead children and wounded mothers

That is a good point. President Obama told the pope that he wanted to reduce abortions in America. How is providing free abortions going to bring down the number of abortions? It won’t, abortion rates will rise if they are made free.

Why should people who are opposed to abortion be forced to watch their tax dollars being sent to provide abortions?  As bad as the idea of nationalizing healthcare is on its own, this just makes it truly unacceptable to me.

If a woman wants to have an abortion that is one thing, I don’t agree with it but it isn’t my choice. But if that woman cannot pay for it and she wants me to pay for it I have a big problem. I should not be forced to sit here and watch my tax dollars being spent on something that I find as horrible as abortion.

To tell you the truth I would have been surprised if there wasn’t a provision for taxpayer funded abortion in this disastrous legislation, after all Barack Obama is the most pro-death president to ever inhabit the White House.

  Free abortions for all, HUZZAH!

The abortion fight is far, far from over—the feelings on the right are too strong to stiffle. Abortion, will become the battle cry of those on the right. Killing babies has got to stop!!! We protect unborn animals, but unborn human babies are flushed down the toliet. This is not political its a crime and those who foster and promote this will one day stand before a judge in this world and the next.

How is it that the lives of animals are more valuable than the rights of unborn children. It makes no sense.

I don’t think that you are overstating it. This country as we know it will cease to exist if these two measures pass.

Cap & Trade is a terrible idea that will ultimately cause financial hardship on all Americans, but ObamaCare in and of itself will be the downfall of America and the productivity of its citizens.

Seriously, why would successful people continue to work hard if Obama just takes more of their money to support those that refuse to produce?

Just a thought…but what would happen if conservative Americans stopped paying their tax bill and sent a letter of protest with it saying we don’t support abortion?

I don’t like the idea of my tax dollars going to support or benefit any religious organizations. I believe in the separation of Church and State. Sadly though my tax dollars do support such organizations, through grants to fund their programs. My tax dollars also pay for police and fire protection as well as sewage, streets and sidewalks that religious organization take full advantage of.

However not paying taxes because I dislike where a little bit of it goes is not an option. Would be like cutting off one’s nose to spite their own face.

Not everyone follows or ascribes to the same belief system and none should try to force theirs upon another. Those that are overly concerned with the business of others are usually the same ones not attending to their own.

Don’t you just love the smell of hypocrisy first thing in the morning? Folks should busy themselves with living their own lives according to their own faith and let others be.

This President is a DISASTER for this country. He is destroying our country and something needs done. I am an RN BSN MBA for 29 years in critical care arena. We are in BIG trouble with this health care agenda of Obama. People think Health care is bad now???? Just wait! I know physicians who are leaving practice if this goes through. There will be waiting lines for years. Elderly won’t have health care. Forced abortions at tax payers expense. No more dialysis. If you have cancer forget treatment. The LIBIOTS who voted this fool in have no idea what they brought on. They drank the Kool Aid.

      Kimber –

I could not have said it any better.

That pretty much sums up the dire straits of our “free” nation.

I just heard on Fox today that within the health bill is a provision that those over 65 will be required to receive counseling every 5 years to determine the necessity for end of life! No Joke!

Here is what Rush said about this recently!

“Ladies and gentlemen, we have found something else in the health care bill. Page 425 to page 430. The House version of the health care bill is going to require mandatory counseling for all seniors at a minimum of every five years, more often if the senior is sick or in a nursing home. Just how many government trained counselors will that put into the workforce? With an over-65 population of 38 million according to the US Census 2007, if you have an over-65 population of 38 million people you’re going to need four counseling sessions daily, that’s 37,000 at a minimum counselors plus their supervisors, then the people who read their reports, and the oversight agency. You know what we ought to do? We ought to put together a single page cut-and-paste fact sheet at RushLimbaugh.com that people could cut and paste and fax to the White House so that Obama will know what is in the bill.

I’ll bet he doesn’t know that there is end-of-life counseling for senior citizens on page 425 to 430. What is this counseling going to be? Why would you need mandatory counseling for all seniors, and who’s going to pay for this? Mandatory counseling for all seniors at a minimum of every five years, more often if the seasoned citizen is sick or in a nursing home. And as Don Parker writes here at the American Thinker, “Don’t even think that anyone should receive mandatory counseling regarding the end-of-life issues surrounding abortion.” That’s an invasion of the right to privacy. We can’t have counseling for mothers who are thinking of terminating their pregnancy, but we can go in there and counsel people about to die. I’m sure you could get some counselors from the Hemlock Society to go in and do this. Kevorkian might want to come back to life and handle this. End-of-life counselors, end-of-life treatment for senior citizens, mandatory.”

This is outrageous but considering that Obama didn’t vote to save living babies who survived abortions it isn’t surprising that he would support letting seniors die.

Population control at its best. Very scary indeed.

I don’t understand the bleeding heart liberals who claim they feel sorry for the underprivileged – they want to give up the health care coverage they have to “help” those who have no insurance? Makes no sense to me when the statistics say most of those uninsured can afford it, they just choose not to insure themselves.

The libs will do anything to get abortion funded by the taxpayer! Sneak it into any bill they can! They call themselves compassionate, Bull! They bitch about the men who die in Iraq, then turn around and allow abortion! They save animals, then allow unborn babies to be murdered! They tell us even terrorists have rights, but say the unborn have none! They have as much compassion as the Nazis did! Liberal hypocrit!

What about the part in the health care bill that senior citizens will require “end of life counseling” and advise on how to end life sooner. Now we are moving towards Euthanasia ..

I am not at all FOR taxpayers paying for abortions, but the suggestion that this bill will initiate a system in which abortions will be paid for (resulting in an increase in the number of abortions performed) is inaccurate. Abortions are ALREADY paid for by taxpayers through each state’s Medicaid programs. Really. What WILL be initiated by this horrendous bill is a Federal pool of money, rather than just the state pools we already have in place.
