ACORN has been removed from the 2010 census

September 11, 2009

Justice has finally been served. One story that I don’t think got enough press, other than in the blogosphere, was the fact that ACORN was going to have a major role in the upcoming census. The fact that such a corrupt agency would have any say in how congressional seats are alloted was frightening and appalling.

In light of the recent events; the arrest of eleven ACORN employees for voter registration fraud, and the revelation that ACORN was helping people avoid paying their taxes (including a man posing as a pimp for underage girls,) the census bureau has cut all ties with the nefarious organization.

It is clear that ACORN’s affiliation with the 2010 census promotion has caused sufficient concern in the general public, has indeed become a distraction from our mission, and may even become a discouragement to public cooperation, negatively impacting 2010 census efforts

ACORN should never have been invited to take part in the upcoming census and we can chalk this up as a victory for the American people.

Again, the people have spoken. Obama must be shattered. ACORN doesn’t get off this easily though. They need to be prosecuted and their fraud network dismantled. I don’t suppose this justice department is up to the task though.

This is a victory but you are right,we need to see this whole organization prosecuted. This is just the beginning.

Wow! this is certainly going well. Now hopefully Michelle bachman will be successful in her quest to stop ACORN from getting taxpayer $$. And James O’Keefe said on Hannity that there may be another (#3) tape……

Deb, I predict several more tapes!

There won’t likely be enough room to sweep all this shit under the rug. I think NObama may well have to throw some people, or maybe even the whole damned acorn apparatus “under the bus!”

Sure hope we can avert that $8? BILLION going to them from the porkulus package.

Just today, 2/22/2010, I heard it reported on Talk Radio, that ACORN is currently changing their name in many, if not every, location(s) around the country so as to disguise their real purpose, intent, etc. But of course they’re still being granted Government (yours & mine) funding up the wazoo, so all the exposure discussed above has not put them out of business such as should be the case.

By googling “ACORN Name Changes”, up pops a whole bunch of confirmation sites, & the following are just two examples: “The California chapter became the Alliance of Californians for Community Empowerment and the New York group became New York Communities for Change…..”, & it goes on….

It is true, they are “rebranding” themselves becasue their name has become toxic. But it is still the same old group with the same old views willing to committ the same old frauds.
