Kimberly Munley– an American heroine

November 6, 2009

munleyKimberly Munley is a 34 year old mother of a three year old girl and a civilian police officer who was performing her duty directing traffic at Fort Hood when she heard shots ring out on November 6th.

She rushed toward the commotion with a disregard for her own well being and engaged Nidal Malik Hasan who had begun firing on American soldiers on the base. A firefight ensued and even after Hasan managed to put a bullet through both of her legs and one in her wrist she fired four shots into Hasan and single-handedly brought him down– ending the terror spree.

Kimberly Munley is a true American heroine, if it was not for her quick thinking and quick response this dreadful attack could have been much, much worse. Even in attacks as heinous as this one we sometimes see great acts of courage. This was one such time.

While Hasan was cowardly killing a pregnant woman and shooting soldiers in the back, Kimberly Munley stood face to face with him and took him down.

Kimberly Munley is in the hospital recovering and she is in stable condition. While nothing can ever be said that will comfort those who lost loved ones at the hands of  Hasan, Americans should take comfort in the fact that we have people like Kimberly Munley on our side.

Our thoughts go out to Kimberly today, rest easy and get well soon.

Kimberly Munley is truly an American hero. Kudos to her for doing the job she was trained to do and for doing it well. I hope she has a speedy recovery.

And I can assure you, she will say she is NOT a hero, she was simply ‘doing her job’…

    Thank God she was…

How long will it be before someone says she used excessive force?

I’ve actually read that she was trained in to engage the “enemy” as this type of tactic appears to work better than waiting for backup. So her aggressive style of training prepared her for the likes of Hasan.

The liberal leftist are already beginning to make excuses for Hasan’s murderous spree. Some suggest that he may have had post traumatic stress syndrome. Is that a communicable disease? Hasan was never in combat.

Yeah I guess he has second hand post traumatic stress syndrome.

That just makes me angry! Hasan was never in combat! Hello! That just makes all our soldier look bad…but then again….maybe THAT is the ultimate goal.

If he had PTSD I am Humphrey Bogart!

Kimberly Munley needs to watch her back. The Islamis and the liberals now will see that her response was excessive. After all, she was only hit once and she shot the good major FOUR times. How inappropriate!

I would hope the military and our civilian police will put extra protection on her, even giving her an asumed identity. The terrorists will seek her out and execute Sharia law on her.

Our good major cannot claim anything but that he was exercising Jihad, Muslim Holy War in the manner he was able. He was a man given high specilist training and significant rank on our Army. He hid his murderous intent behind his insignia and his uniform.

Major Hasan is a murderer and a traitor of the most heinous sort. I am already hearing the liberals and Muslim apologists lining up behind him and making him to be the victim. Remember, this man was a psycologist. He was trained to recognize and to understand the stresses of conflict.

No one wants to go to war. He was not asked to fight on the front lines. He was to spend his service in relatively secure rear areas.

This miserable excuse for a human being has no excuse. He is one of our enemy, acting on the direction of this “peaceful religion.” It was his own statement that the U.S. was engaged in a war on Islam. Don’t forget this was a war that the Muslims started on September 11. We had one of the enemy infiltrated into our own ranks.

I agree with everything that you said.
It is only a matter of time before we here that Munley used exessive force.

I don’t know. I think the military will protect her back. Not only that, I think you would see the American people stand up behind her in such large numbers that CAIR and such would have to shut up for once.

You could be right. I know the military will have her back, maybe even the liberals won’t dare to try to make her the villian.
