Barack Obama almost called Nidal Malik Hasan a terrorist– but not quite
During Barack Obama’s speech at the memorial service for the victims of the Fort Hood terrorist attack he said, ” no faith justifies these murderous and craven acts; no just and loving God looks upon them with favor, and for what he has done, we know that the killer will be met with justice — in this world and the next.”
He mentions faith and God when speaking about Hasan and the killings. Is he suggesting that these killings may have been done in the name of a god? It certainly seems so. And if Hasan was a Muslim and he committed these acts in the name of his God wouldn’t that make him a radical Islamist– a terrorist? That also seems about right to me.
Barack Obama, through his comments, laid down the possibility that this attack was a terrorist act. Let’s face it, Barack Obama knows that this was not second hand post traumatic stress syndrome. He knows that this was a terror attack and he alluded to it in his speech. But he just can not bring himself to utter that one word. The Nobel Peace Prize winning president just can’t admit that he let a terrorist attack happen on United States soil while he was president.

This situation sickens me in three ways. Once for the event itself. Second, for the fact that people in the government knew about his tendencies, but did nothing. And finally, the fact that the left and the media have tied themselves in knots trying to avoid the fact that this was a terrorist attack.

Your second point is the one that bothers me most of all, this should have been avoided. But listening to the media is almost as maddening, they do not want to admit what this obviously was, once the trial starts perhaps it even the media will relaize that they can’t sugar coat this any more.

Is that ALL Muslims . . . even American citizens of Muslim faith? You know people that don’t go around killing people just because they are Muslims. This was an act of a deranged individual who was a Muslim. He twisted his faith into something ugly . . . sorta like those right-wing Christian terrorists that kill doctors or blow up women’s clinics.

I noticed when the words first came from his mouth that he was beginning to cover his ass. I suspect he has much more information than the public has at this moment. When he spoke those words I knew more damning information was coming down the pike on this “Major”(terrorist)!

I listened to this speech in bits and pieces, and it occurred to me, he did not even once appear to get choked up. I do think he is a robot, or at least a good actor. He is so unemotional and cold, I wish that one of the bases he goes to would just clap at the appropriate time and make their “whoa” noise similarly. It is very nice of them to hoot and holler, but I wish… just once……

Nidal malik Hasans deadly rampage is a wakeup call for all Americans
Look around you today. What do you see? Religious people all over the world warring against each other: Muslims against Jews, Hindus against Muslims, Shiites against Sunnis, Protestants against Catholics.
Most of the world’s ills can be traced to the hatred of one religious group against another.
How many times have you heard devout Christians say that when it comes to loyalty between their country and their God…they’ll choose their God every time.
It’s not just Islamists that we need to be wary of. It’s anyone who believes that God speaks to them, that they are the only true representatives of God on earth, and that God comes before country.
They are ticking time bombs.
Sound like anyone you know?
It’s time for religious fanatics of all faiths to “love this country or leave it”.

Not all Muslims are terrorists. I also believe the reason that what Hasan did has not been “declared” a terrorist act is because…. Get this folks, if it is a terrorist act he gets tried in a CIVILIAN court. If it remains what it is, premeditated murder on a military post-guess what? He gets a MILITARY trial. He will then be tried in front of a jury of his peers- military personnel. Not civilians. He’s in the best place he could be, as far as I’m concerned. Let the government & the media sidestep the terrorist thing. I don’t mind a bit. The military will be a much harsher jury to convince!
