Climategate expands: Scientists hid faulty data from China

February 2, 2010

The Climategate scandal continues. The scientist at the heart of the Climategate scandal is facing new allegations that he purposely hid faulty data from Chinese weather monitoring stations.

According to this article the data used by Phil Jones from Chinese weather stations is seriously flawed and coincidentally the documents relating to this data has been destroyed. These are the very documents that Wei-Chyung Wang– Phil Jones’ co-conspirator– claimed would exonerate both of them.

As can be read in this article:

It is well-known that the concrete, bricks and asphalt of urban areas absorb more heat than the countryside. They result in cities being warmer than the countryside, especially at night.

The weather stations in question here are all from urban areas in China. And as China becomes more urban it is only natural that the cities will provide warmer temperature readings, and that the rising temperatures in China are a result of the growth of cities and not by carbon emissions. But these documents have vanished, what a coincidence. Wang and Jones both claim that the urbanization effects of warming are negligible but they can not provide the proof of these findings.

This scandal is not going away; in fact it is growing. It is time to stop entertaining any cap and trade legislation until a full investigation is opened up and completed. During his State of the Union speech, Barack Obama poked fun at those wo deny the “overwhelming evidence” that exists in regards to man-made global warming. He is ignoring the Climategate scandal– as is everyone else in Washington. It would be irresponsible for our government to proceed on cap and trade in light of all of the revelations that have been made public through Climategate.

It is time to stop the global warming propaganda, it is time to investigate these criminals and bring them to justice if they are found to have committed a crime. The United States government has spent millions of dollars on an issue that has been manipulated by those that receive the money. How can anybody support restrictive cap and trade legislation without at least asking for an investigation? If the evidence is as “overwhelming” as Barack Obama claims it is, and if they truly believe it is a legitimate concern, what are they afraid an investigation will reveal?

It is amazing to me that as this just continues to spiral out of control, Obama stands steadfast in his support for Cap and Trade.

Cap and Trade would cripple the economy and would make more people rely on the government for assistance. So of course he would ignore the facts.

He appears to be so wrapped up in his left wing agenda that he isn’t even paying attention to what is going on with thie issue.

I can not believe the extent to which the global warming and climate change crowd is willing to go. Sooner or later, do we not see how much they are lying to us?

We see, LD. But, the left hopes that if the MSM ignores or dicredits it, it doesn’t exist.

It just isn’t getting the media attention in America that is should be getting. Many people probably have not heard about Climategate.

My squirrels were right this year—their fur was thick this past fall and the winter has been cold. I suspect Al Gore will take a big economic hit since he is heavily invested in carbon credits and windmills. Time for a change Al!

This time last year a statement re water vapour as a greenhouse gas would have aerned the terms, flat earther/crank/denialist etc.

Water vapor huh? Next thing you know they’ll be rationing showers. Way too much vapor. Unbelievable that they continue to push this blatant lie.

They have an agenda and will still try to pass cap and trade. Progressives take advantage of all controversy and if they don’t have one they create one.

They love to create “crisis” where there is none, the other example is healthcare. There was never a crisis there, now we know that because they are no longer in a hury. They were using that “crisis” to push an unpopular agenda item.
