Texas to file lawsuit challenging the EPA’s authority to regulate greenhouse gasses

February 17, 2010

The global warming argument is falling apart amid scandals but that does not mean that we are out of the woods when it comes to some sort of cap and trade legislation. Sure, the cap and trade bill has stalled in congress and no politician would be stupid enough to try to resurrect it in the face of all the scandals surrounding global warming– except of course Barack Obama–  so under normal circumstances cap and trade would be dead.

But the EPA has ruled that greenhouse gasses are a danger and has given itself the authority to regulate them on their own if congress does not. It seems that we will get cap and trade legislation forced upon us no matter what. The fight might not be over yet because Texas has filed a motion in court challenging the EPA’s authority to regulate greenhouse gasses, and has also asked the EPA to reconsider its ruling.

This could be our last chance to stop cap and trade from being forced on us and we have to hope that the Texas motion is successful or we are all going to be paying the price for cap and trade even though we now know that the IPCC has manipulated the data to come to their desired result. The whole global warming argument is based on lies, manipulation, and fraud, but that doesn’t matter because we do not have the power to stop the EPA.

I am not sure where this is going to go, after all it was the Supreme Court who gave the EPA the authority to regulate greenhouse gases in the first place, it is unlikely that if this motion makes it to the Supreme Court that they will overturn themselves. But it must be tried, it is too important to go down without a fight.

If memory serves me correctly, SCOTUS is forcing the EPA to regulate green house gases. It was a result of a lawsuit filed by California during the administration that we are not allowed to mention.

I DID mention that SCOTUS told the EPA they had the right to regulate greenhouse gasses, that is why this is probably going nowhere.

So, they EPA is set up to royally screw us all, and there isn’t much that can be done. Not quite what the founders had in mind.

This isn’t funny, but for some reason that line just cracked me up.
