Vacation
April 24, 2010
We are leaving to go on vacation first thing tomorrow morning. We will be making the 24 hour drive south to Florida to go to Universal Studios for the week. Because I cannot leave blogging totally behind, I may have a few mobile posts during the week if anything comes up. There is also the chance that I will manage to use my son’s laptop and a WiFi connection to do a little blogging in the mornings before the rest of the family is ready to begin the day’s activities.
We will be back on Saturday, and if my pen is silent all week I will “see” you again next Sunday.
This post will be stickied, please check below for new posts.

Have a safe and marvelous vacation! Don’t worry too much about blogging, we won’t forget you while you are gone

Look, decent food is hard to find on the highway, but at least a place like McDonald’s is reliable, plus they’ve got the free WiFi.
Enjoy the vacation and while with the family, put the politics on the back burner – don’t worry, we’ll still be here when you get back (and so will President Obama!).

Have a terrific time, Steve. If you take A1A in Florida, honk at me when you go thru the Beaches area near Jax. 8^]

Good thing you’re not Mr Pink Eyes anymore… the Highway Patrol tend to pull-over people who look like that, LOL
Drive safe and have a good time- sounds like a 100% All-American vacation to me!

Thanks Ron. It is 85 and sunny here, while at home it is 40 and raining/snowing. I am not sure why we still live up there. 🙂

We moved to Atlanta from New Jersey, and after we’d been here a while, we took a trip to visit the bride’s relatives in Cape Coral, and I asked her why, when we moved, we’d stopped prematurely!
Enjoy, enjoy, enjoy, and take your time getting back – enjoy the scenery of our beautiful land!
Take good care and may God bless us all!

I love driving down there just to see the scenery. All good things must come to an end, I am home now.

Dude, I strongly urge you, and everyone else, when taking a vacation, try to take at least two weeks. It takes a few days just to “decompress” from your day-to-day work routine, so that you’re not really feeling the effects of vacation until Tuesday or even Wednesday, and then all too soon it’s Monday again.
I know the tyranny of schedules, etc., but trust me on this – a two-week vacation will leave you feeling far more than twice as good as a one-week vacation.
At any rate, Steve, welcome home.
