Latest poll shows Harry Reid trailing Sharron Angle
Watching the coverage of last Tuesday’s Nevada primary all of the experts that were interviewed after Sharron Angle was declared the Republican winner followed the same storylines. They claimed that Harry Reid’s road to re-election was made easier and they claimed that the Tea Party movement might just backfire and actually help to re-elect Harry Reid. They also made the assertion that if Harry Reid had to hand pick a candidate to run against, it would be Sharron Angle.
And this may be true, maybe Sharron Angle may be the weakest opponent that Harry Reid could have faced, but judging from the latest Rasmussen poll, his re-election is hardly guaranteed.
In a head to head matchup against the candidate that Harry Reid supposedly most wanted to face, he is trailing by a margin of 50-39. These are terrible numbers for an incumbent and Harry Reid– while he probably did want to face Angle– has to be worried about how he will fare against what he considered to be his weakest opponent.
It will be interesting to see of Sharron Angle can maintain this lead, but in a year that is shaping up to be an anti-incumbent year Harry Reid should be shaking in his boots.

If Sharon wins, I don’t think the Dems can continue on with their ‘we’re in a great position’ diatribe. I think she may be the turnkey of the entire 2010 elections.

Well, I just hope that we can agree that to “vote the bums out” is a necessary starting point. I’m not saying anything bad about S. Angle. The only thing I do know is that she is pro-life, which is good enough for me!
