Ovide Lamontagne releases first radio ad
Over the past several weeks the local airwaves have been filled with political advertisements from Kelly Ayotte and Bill Binnie. Kelly Ayotte is the well funded “establishment” candidate who was endorsed by Sarah Palin, while Bill Binnie is a self-made millionaire who has spent millions of his own money in an ad blitz.
I do not harbor ill will towards either Kelly Ayotte or Bill Binnie simply because they have the money to spend on this campaign, but while they are busy attacking each other and claiming that they are the real conservative, the one true conservative in this race is running a grassroots campaign with little money.
Ovide Lamontagne doesn’t have the money that either Kelly Ayotte or Bill Binnie has, but he is on the ground meeting people, building a base, and making a push towards replacing Judd Gregg as the next senator from New Hampshire. I do have to admit that it is frustrating to see the candidate that I support not be able to compete on the airwaves up until this point with the two front-runners in this campaign, but that has changed as Ovide Lamontagne has finally run his first radio spot.
