Barack Obama claims the economy is moving in the right direction

September 3, 2010

With the “Recovery Summer” grinding to a standstill before it even started–losing almost 300,000 jobs since the Summer began, and with the unemployment figure rising to 9.6% Barack Obama had the audacity–after hearing the latest jobs news–to claim that the economy is moving in the right direction.

Because the economy lost fewer jobs than expected, and because many of those jobs lost were temporary census workers, the Obama regime is now trying to claim some type of victory on the jobs front before the mid-term elections.

Barack Obama’s asinine claim can lead us to only two conclusions:

Either he is oblivious to–and hopelessly out of touch with–what Americans are going through on the jobs front, or he honestly believes that the economy is headed in the right direction because he wants more people dependent on the federal government for their well-being. What other possibilities could there be for Barack Obama’s optimism in spite of the dire news coming out on an almost daily basis?

Barack Obama is trying to have it both ways in regards to the census workers–he used the hiring of the census workers, when it was convenient, in order to make the jobs situation look better than it was by including them in the jobs report while failing to mention that these were only temporary jobs. But when the census workers job’s were done, he used their layoffs as a means to show that the job losses weren’t as great as they appeared to be because these people were always going to lose these jobs anyway.

He cannot have it both ways on this issue–try as he might.

Putting aside the census workers and their situation, let me ask all of Barack Obama’s dwindling supporters, what do you think? Do you agree with Barack Obama that the economy is heading in the right direction? Because it certainly doesn’t seem to be moving in the right direction to me.

It is obvious to me that the economy is still worsening and the stimulus bill failed to help the economy. Barack Obama is trying to paint a rosy picture moving forward, but with the looming tax increases at the end of the year, as well as the costs that will be incurred by businesses due to the healthcare reform legislation, I don’t see any hope that this economy is going to turn around for quite some time.

The economy is moving in the right direction. He’s not a Muslim. He’s not a socialist. We will have transparancy. Obama Care is good for us. Gov’t should bail out everyone Obama likes. The Unions deserve payback for supporting him. He was born in America.

Do I need to go on? The list of lies is unending!

He’s going to close GITMO. He won’t sign a bill with earmarks. He won’t raise taxes on people making under $250,000. You are right, I could keep at this all day.

Moving in the right direction? And, it could have been worse…. IT COULD HAVE BEEN WORSE? Is this what Obama was hired for? to be half a step away from saying “whatever”? THis is unbelievable. We need to find a REAL candidate for POTUS in 2012, not Newt, not John Bolton, not Mitt Romney, not Tim Pawlenty—- a person who will without question and without exception uphold the Constitution and encourage American exceptionalism. I know from personal experience that humility is in short supply nowadays, So if there is a George Washington or a John Adams out there, I hope we can find him!

It could have been worse, that sounds amost like what your governor said the other day about his four years in office when he said, “we hung on under my administration.” Have we really set the bar this low now?!

Well, cadillac is not even hiding the fact that he is all done. Unfortunately for him he is not as “eloquent” a speaker as P.O.

So the other day he sat down with Brian Williams of NBC and said that the reason he is viewed unfavorabley by so many Americans is because there is effort to disseminate misinformation by certain media outlets. How about this, the reason Americans are viewing him in a less than a favorable manner is because he is the leading agent of misinformation. How can you stand behind the podium, look the American people in the eye and say, ‘the economy is heading in the right direction.” Are you serious? Your Progressive mind tricks won’t work on me. Great post Steve.

So true John, once again the Obama regime is trying to blame the media for all of its woes. When he doesn’t blame the media he blames Bush, he will never take reponsibility for his own failures. But the people see through him now, he himself is transparent. That is the only thing transparent about this administration.

He’s viewed so unfavorably by so many Americans because we now have Steve Urkel as POTUS and most America has finally seen through the Obamanure…

    Obamanure — A nice way to say B.S. 😛
