Sharron Angle leads Harry Reid in the latest poll (10/05/10)

October 5, 2010

When Sharron Angle defeated Sue Lowden in the Nevada Republican primary the Democrat pundits and the media immediately began proclaiming that the happiest person in Nevada was Harry Reid because he got an opponent he could easily handle in the general election.

Sharron Angle’s–as well as Christine O’Donnell’s victory in Delaware–victory in Nevada was widely publicized as proof that the Tea Party was going to either hurt the Republican party in the general election, or even split the Republican party. Either scenario–we were told–would help to ensure the Democrat candidates would be re-elected.

Somebody must have forgotten to tell Sharron Angle that she was not supposed to win. (Which reminds me of a line from Rocky–He doesn’t know it’s a damn show! He thinks it’s a damn fight!)

Since Sharron Angle won the Nevada Republican primary she has been trailing Harry Reid in the polls slightly, but she has remained close, Harry Reid has not been able to shake her. Regardless of the spin coming out of the Harry Reid camp or the talking heads on television, this is a real race and Harry Reid should be nervous.

And today the news  got even better for Sharron Angle as she has pulled ahead of Harry Reid in the latest poll.

Angle drew 49 percent to Reid’s 46 percent. As voters make up their mind with four weeks to go until Election Day, Angle seems to have the edge.

With just four weeks to go before the election, Sharron Angle appears to be gaining momentum, this could spell bad news for Harry Reid. The candidate whom we were told had no shot at beating Harry Reid is now in the lead.

As voters begin to make up their minds they are looking at what the Obama regime has done; if they agree with the direction of the country they will vote for the Democrats, but if they do not agree with the direction of the country they are going to vote for the Tea Party candidates regardless of whether they supported them in the primary. That statement may seem overly simplistic but the mainstream media seems to have forgotten this basic concept; this is contrary to the predictions in the mainstream media that these Tea Party candidates are too extreme to win a general election because independents would be scared away.

This was simply wishful thinking–and perhaps a little projection, or an attempt to influence people to stay away from the polls–by the liberal media and the Democrats. But that isn’t what is happening according to many of these polls.

People are fed up with the same old Washington politics; Barack Obama promised change but he has resorted to the same type of backroom deals as has every other Washington insider, so people are beginning to look elsewhere and the Tea Party offers the voters a chance at real change.

The media may have underestimated the strength of the Tea Party, and the media may have been trying to disillusion the Tea Party by reporting that the Tea Party was going to do more harm than good to the Republican party, but there is one thing that the media just doesn’t understand.

The Tea Party is about more than just partisan politics; we are sick of sending Republicans to Washington who don’t represent our values, we are coming in November but it doesn’t end in November because we will be watching everybody and if they do not live up to expectations we will fire them also.

It is time to take back our country, if this means that some Republicans need to fall by the wayside so be it! This is not a splitting of the Republican party, it is a cleansing of the Republican party. The Tea Party is going to bring the Republican party back to its base, one way or the other–because it is the Republican party that has lost its way.

It has taken up many, many years to get to this point and it has taken way to long for the American people to wake up to what has been going on, but we are awake now and nobody is safe. If Harry Reid is vulnerable, they all are.

I recently heard someone say that this election isn’t the end…it is just the beginning. Once we clean house and get decent representatives in the WH, then we have to work twice as hard to get our country back on track and make sure these socialist don’t get foot again.

The days for snoozing are over….

I’m glad she is pulling ahead. I can’t wait until she ends Reids career. Hopefully Boxer and Pelosi will also be looking for new careers.

Bravo, Steve. This is an excellent post. I don’t even consider myself a member of the Tea Party, but I am sick of hearing how bad they are and how much damage they will do to the Republican Party. I am sick of hearing how they can not win, as they have said of Angle and O’Donnell. Personally, I think there will be a lot of surprised people on the night of November 2, 2010.

    It’s about time.

Thanks Larry! I also get tired of hearing how a group of people expressing their ideas is a bad thing, isn’t that one of the basic pillars of our founding?
BTW, I meant to include a link to your post from this morning but I forgot to. I have added it now.

She just has to stay at least 3-4 % ahead to overcome the voter fraud, and she’s good to go. It’s a shame that has to be said, but it’s none the less true.

If she can pull this off, and overcome fraud, persistent attacks from the Democrats, as well as the MSM, it will really show the power of the tea party.

For America will be a laughing joke, Angle is way to extreme. If you live in NV and your parents get social security find them a cool place in the desert. PS Angle Vegas hates you run, run Angle
