Washington Republican has his office windows shot out: Where is the outrage?
In the wake of the Arizona shooting many Democrats–including Barack Obama himself–urged Americans to usher in a new era of civility. Naturally these Democrats were talking to Republicans and Tea Party members because it was assumed that Jarred Laughner was a right winger–an assumption that was quickly disproven–while ignoring the fact that there has been no documented proof that any Tea Party member has engaged in violent behavior.
Apparently the left does not believe that this call for a new era of civility was directed at them because according to this story the windows were shot out of a Washington DC Republican’s office, and it seems to have been politically driven.
Scott Walker and other Wisconsin Democrats have received death threats and now we have a violent attack on the office of a Republican politician in Washington and yet neither of these stories are gaining any momentum within the propaganda arm of the Democrat party–otherwise known as the mainstream media.
Democrats talk a great game when it comes to the issue of civility, but their actions don’t quite live up to their rhetoric and I feel that the anger and contempt that these leftists are displaying for the democratic process when they lose may lead to even more violence in the future.
While Barack Obama and the other leftists have pleaded with the Tea Party to cool down on their “vitriolic rhetoric” nobody in Washington has condemned this act of violence against a Republican politician, preferring to let this issue slowly fade away into the sunset.
We know that this would not be the case if the target of this shooting were a Democrat’s office; the Democrats would condemn it and the media would make this the number one story over the current situation in Japan. But the Japan situation is providing the media with the cover needed to ignore this story and they are taking it.
Thankfully nobody was hurt in this attack as it happened during off hours, but one has to wonder how long this will be the case. The left is desperate and they are now threatening violence against people who have committed the cardinal sin of disagreeing with them on the issues. If this “vitriolic rhetoric” and violence coming from the left is not curbed shortly I fear that the left will take this to the next level.
And yet people like Harry Reid and the other Democrat leaders continue to call the Tea Party radical extremists even as their own supporters resort to violent displays. We all know that there is a double standard, but has it ever been more evident? Where is the outrage?

Just when the MSM was having to answer critics about their slanted coverage of Tea Party events and the union thuggery going on in Wisconsin they got a story to divert the peoples attention away from the actions of the leftist protestors. They know the nature of the left and if they continue to allow the unions temper tantrum to make headlines or be the national discussion they lose the debate. How quickly their attention is diverted to deflect the mounting criticism these unions and their bosses are facing. They lost credibility a long time ago. They’re useless in my opinion.

I agree, this didaster in Japan has given them the cover they need in order to ignore the local issues, and it their minds it couldn’t have come at a better time.

There’s a chance the GOP office wasn’t a political target – other businesses in the vicinity also apparently had glass windows destroyed: the restaurant Pret de Manger at 11th and F streets and the Washington Sports Club in the 1300 block of F Street.

The article that I linked to said that authorities believe the shooting was politically motivated. Maybe it will turn out that it was not, if that is true than I have simply followed the template that the MSM used in the aftermath of the Arizona shootings. Place blame first and then worry about the facts.
