Climategate II: Researchers “pad” rising sea level numbers

June 18, 2011

The global warming–or climate change or global climate disruption or whatever the hell they are calling it now–agenda of overburdensome regulations, government control, and the global redistribution of wealth took a serious hit when it was revealed in Climategate that “scientists” had been cooking the books in an effort to “hide the decline” and promote their agenda.

These “scientists” tried to tell the people that while some of the data used to determine the destruction that was soon to be set upon us if we did not change our ways was based on faulty–I would say purposely tampered with–data, but that didn’t change the fact that the world was indeed warming, and we faced certain annihilation if we did not turn over our freedoms and our money to the government so they could save them from ourselves.

While Climategate was downplayed and in some cases ignored by the media, this scandal rocked the climate change agenda in Washington and ground the cap and trade legislation into the ground. Or should I say, to the EPA where they look to do an end run around the Constitution and pass Barack Obama’s agenda without using the Congress, but that is a story I have covered before, and is not the focus of this post.

And now we may be on the verge of Climategate II: One of the symptoms of global warming is supposed to be the rising of sea levels; the rising of the seas even an inch over the next decade is supposed to cause irreparable harm to the earth and kill millions of people. It is now being reported in this article that the  University of Colorado’s Sea Level Research Group decided, out of the blue, to add a small amount to their seal level measurement every year in order to exaggerate the rising of the sea. (And I would say in an effort to keep the federal grant money flowing in as well.)

This small amount, being cumulative, would over time get the levels of the sea to a danger zone which could be used to spread fear in the academia and the indoctrination of our children could continue, but it would all be based on lies. But we must always remember that the end justifies the means, and when the endgame is a worldwide socialistic system based on government regulations and controls a little lie doesn’t seem like a high price to pay for the globalists and the statists.

It is sure to follow that we will be told this little “mistake” doesn’t change the truth about global warming or the rising sea levels. Sure, the data used to prove the earth was warming was manipulated, and the data used to prove the seas were rising was manipulated, but the game must go on and so this will be downplayed, when in reality this whole scam which the EPA is about to force onto the American people is all based on lies and deception.

I have to admit, it’s actually fun to watch these guys throw all pretenses of science out the window to prove their faulty assumptions.

I have to agree with you; watching these people try to justify their position when the argument is falling apart all around them is entertaining. However, they still hold the keys because they have infiltrated the education system, so it is up to us to expose and discredit these people whenever possible.

I don’t remember who said: Everyone is welcome to their own opinions but not to their own facts. Global Warming or Climate Change is the most important tool in the liberal’s tool box for convincing people to give up their rights to the state so that the state can protect us from ourselves. They will not let go of this tool.

I don’t know the author of that quote either, but it is a great quote and all so true. Unfortunately these people are making up their own facts and it is about time that we stop them in their tracks.

Well, if it makes sense to add the thickness of a fingernail to annual sea level increase reports, it makes sense to add the same amount to measurements of the distance that land masses are above sea level – that’s what I got from reading the article. That is, the sea level’s rising is meaningless if the land keeps pace. And this is no place for the sneering mockery that so many like to emploiy – the fact is that land mass changes relative to the surface of the oceans. One obvious way is by rising up after a glacier’s melted, because that weight is no longer pressing down.

There’s no doubt that ice packs are melting, land-based glaciers are melting (Glacier National Park will soon need to be names “Highmeadows National Park” or something similar . . .) Something’s going on, and there’s a possibility that our lifestyle is contributing to it. Whatever it is, we need to understand it better and probably prepare for change – even if we’re contributing to it, climate change isn’t going to be so easy to stop, even if we improve our emissions, etc., going forward.

Take good care and may God bless us all!

While I beleive global warming comes and goes I know that is a natural cycle of the earth and so far I have not seen positive proof of any cause by man. Do you really think we could have so much control of this planet? If it weren’t for a little global warming about 10,000 years ago the Great Lakes and surrounding area would still have about a mile of ice over it. And there were not too many SUV’s or coal fired power plants then. When I was in school they were trying to tell us we were heading into a ice age. They will continue to bend the facts and make excuses why things aren’t going as planned.
This is nothing but an effort to redistribute wealth. And most of these people have huge financial stakes in this. The so called scientists get grant money to “prove” this and people like Al Gore want to make huge money on trading in carbon.

You are right on, this is about the redistribution of wealth and the people pushing this have money to make because of it.

Whatever new moniker they want to put on it it’s still ‘lipstick on a pig’.

Call it CONTROL from all the ‘ISTS’ out there!
